Robert Spencer caught this story in The Australian, which reports that an Al-Qaeda linked Islamist group has attempted to assassinate the religious leader. Bin Laden has recently attacked “pagan Buddhism” in one of his messages to his followers. I wonder if the left will blame the foreign policy of Buddhists for the Dalai Lama’s predicament?
