Anything is possible, no doubts there! I’ve done a some of research in neuro-receptor / transmitters. One fact that’s true with all human brains (unless damaged obviously, or a growth/health issue etc.) is that when they’re firing off in the same pattern for a period of time (unsure of the length, need more research) those receptors and transmitters will become accustomed to that pattern. Thus making it harder to stop that. So in theory, if someone that is high say everyday for a long time, the brain would false-fire once in a while back to that transmitter and recptor. (healing over time)

I would think the type of drug would stimulate different area, unsure if it’s 100% dopamine or something else gives them the feeling. I’m not all that educated in drugs or the chemical composition of.

You definitely have my ‘curious’ bug going in research overload now. I will look in to the chemical reaction, electrical patterns stimulated by different substances over the next couple of days. If you’re interested in what I find, I will post it here. Unsure if you’re wanting people to just chat around. (haven’t seen forums)

I believe the Frontal Lobe is responsible for discerning right from wrong. I will start there and with the areas of brain that are effected while under the influence.

I don’t think that’s safe to say at all. I think the drug culture is fueling the growth of conspiracy theories.

That someone “tried” drugs isn’t the issue, it’s whether or not people did so (or continue to do so) on a regular basis.

Out of curiousity, I searched around on google for different search strings. Obama admitted to trying marijuana and cocaine. Vice President Gore, Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas- marijuana. US Court of Appeals Judge Douglas Ginsburg – marijuana.

The proverbial list is endless and I’m actually a little shocked to how many public leaders had admitted it. Sources range from washington post to latimes and more. Too many to post actually. “public leaders that admitted marijuana” return several articles / interviews.

It’s safe to say- the conspiracy sites and drugs link is faulty. A growing drug problem is the problem. When you have soo many using, you will find them anywhere you go.

Geesh, crazy stuff. : (

No, the fact that is was asked only implies the person who asked is uninformed to mkultra and probably many other things. Many admitted smoking a few joints in college/high school yes. Many presidents have admitted it too. ; ) (bill clinton as he’s freshest on my mind) http://www.google.com

I’m not here to grief you, please don’t think I am. I don’t wish to argue morals of drug usage, I too think it should remain illegal. Nor am I the owner / affiliated with the site, just a poster there from time to time. : )

The people agreeing that we need drug laws actually came after this post was published, but since you mention it almost all also admitted to using drugs in the past.

The fact that the question was even asked about MKULTRA says something about the intersection of the drug and conspiracy culture doesn’t it?

Because people research events in history and life, they’re basement dwellers? Sure, credulous threads are posted on websites daily, no denial there. Most on the conspiracy sites are debunkers, looking objectivly for the truth.

You were given plenty of links to the government sites including DoD to declassified documents. It’s these basement dwellers who bring light to subjects most would never care to see. And not to mention- those basement dwellers turned him in, if it weren’t for them, who knows…

There’s a definate difference in someone doing research than a total NutJob who found that site (and was banned from that site a few times).
Sadly, no-one on earth may escape these types like Steve, it’s unfortunatle he’s the comparison to others on the site. He seen an open public forum and took advantage of such.

You failed to mention most of the people on the site agree with Drug Laws aside of medical usage and Hemp for taxation / production. The thread you linked to clearly shows they really don’t think mkultra did it….. You ran with that.

You mentioned you may rip the site a new one in the article, you failed to say you would use posts out of context and assert your assumption. Clearly they think he did it because he’s a lunatic.

It should also be noted, both Mike and Steve were not regular posters on that site. They both have their own sites.
