For my money the best book on survival medicine written for those with little or no medical training is Where There Is No Doctor which I suggest everyone add to their bookshelves. But while I was playing around on my new Scribd account (I have an older one too that I forgot about) I found this e-book which covers everything from where to get medical training producing your own anesthetics to delivering a baby. A good reference to download and print out:
Thank you, I’ve been wondering about Where There is No Doctor. I think I saw it mentioned in a couple of prepper/homesteading type magazines. I read mixed reviews at Amazon, but it seemed that the negatives were that it wasn’t really useful to those in Western societies with good medical systems. The reviewers weren’t really thinking of a survival situation in the West or a return to a time when we’ll need to do our own doctoring.
A lot of people don’t think that about that. It’s more and more likely that we’ll need to take care of ourselves medically.
