Lech Walesa No Fan of Chavez

Former Polish President, founder of the Solidarity Freedom Movement and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Lech Walesa has some decidedly counter revolutionary opinions on Hollywood’s favorite communist dictator. From The Houston Chronicle:

Lech Walesa, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former Polish president, said Chavez is offering Venezuelans things “that don’t belong to him.”

“I consider Chavez a demagogue and a populist, who says one thing and does another,” Walesa said at a news conference. Walesa was in Peru to meet with President Alan Garcia and receive an honorary doctorate from the University of Lima.

“There will come a time of truth, and then (Chavez) will have to pay for everything he has done,” Walesa said, speaking in Polish through a Spanish translator.

I’m sure we can look forward to a spate of Hollywood blockbuster films with Polish trade unions as the villains now.

It’s Official: BBC Working for Islamist Insurgency

From The Telegraph

The BBC was accused last night of risking the safety of British forces in Iraq after trawling for information on troop movements in the war-torn country.

Politicians reacted in disbelief to the revelation that for over two hours yesterday, the BBC News website carried a request for people in Iraq to report on troop movements.

The request was removed from the website after it sparked furious protests that the corporation was endangering the lives of British servicemen and women.

But according to accounts last night, a story on a major operation by US and Iraqi troops against al-Qa’eda somewhere north of Baghdad contained an extraordinary request for information about the movement of troops.

Last night the BBC confirmed the wording of the request was: “Are you in Iraq? Have you seen any troop movements? If you have any information you would like to share with the BBC, you can do so using the form below.”

The BBC confirmed last night that this form of words had appeared on the website from “late morning” until early afternoon.

“It was down by 2pm,” The Daily Telegraph was told.

A spokesman was unable to offer a detailed explanation of why anyone at the BBC should be seeking such information or whether any details on troop movements had been received.

He refused to identify who put the message up but said that “the journalist” responsible had been reminded that “this is not a form of words we would use”.

Hmmm. AllahPundit has more and is asking if he’s being naive thinking this was just a garden variety arrogant news media blunder. I’d say the answer to that is yes given that the BBC is being so coy with the reporters identity and motives.

Islamists Plan “Cyber Raids” on the Web

From The Gathering Storm:

The jihad continues to advance in cyberspace. Global Islamic Media Front Instructs Islamists to Infiltrate Popular Non-Islamic Forums to Spread Pro-Islamic State Propaganda. The Global Islamic Media Front (GIMF) has announced a new comprehensive media campaign titled “The Battar Media Raid to Defend the Islamic State [of Iraq].

In a message titled “The Battar Media Raid: How to Participate? How to Help? What Is My Role?” the GIMF announces the beginning of the campaign and provides a detailed description of the campaign’s goals and ways of accomplishing them, including infiltrating non-Islamic forums for the purpose of posting pro-ISI propaganda.

The media blitz will also include infiltration of entertainment forums:

Here’s the plan for innocent infidel entertainment sites – their end-game of the raid.

“The raid demands of you many things… such as expertise, especially in the following areas: seeking religious knowledge, montage, translation into any language, uploading material onto various types of websites, web design, graphic design, journal and publication design, and hacking and security. If you have expertise in any of these [fields], contact the GIMF representative on any of the forums. If, however, you do not possess this expertise… there are other matters you can [promote]: for example, posting matters related to the raid in most [jihad] forums… posting [material] in non-jihad forums, posting in non-Islamic forums such as music forums, youth forums, sports forums, and others. Anyone who undertakes to post the material must look into the [appropriate] manner of spreading [the material for each type of forum]… The way in which members of music forums address one another differs from the way members of jihad forum address one another.”

Counter jihad activists should be alert and pro active in dealing with this menace.

More Ron Paul Supporters He Won’t Want You to See

Here’s a blog that recently railed against the Republican effort to “marginalize” the Messiah of half-baked libertarianism. But look around and you’ll see that these Ron Paul supporters aren’t disgruntled Republicans at all, but instead are a collection of Jihadis, anti-Semites and pro-terror propagandists.

Why does Ron Paul garner support and admiration from a collection of America haters like this? The answer is simple, his policies will benefit them. His isolationism will allow these people to fulfill their dream of the extermination of the Jewish people and the destruction of America. Ron Paul may sincerely believe that if we “just leave them alone” we can avoid conflict with militant islamists, communists and other fascists, but his supporters in those movements prove him wrong, they’re lists of grievances are vast, childish and ultimately unanswerable because in most cases they’re based on outrageous conspiracy theories.

As one radical Muslim who owns a pro-jihad site stated in my comments on this post:

its interesting that the barbarians are calling us barbarians.

those people who were oppressing Muslims from 300 years, when some courageous people strike back on them, then they are crying and barking and calling us barbarians…

your governments never think that we can actually fight back thats why they kept oppressing our people for centuries and now its time to pay back.

soon the world will see the destruction of UK and USA from our hands

and thats a promise 😉

enjoy your defeat loosers

The comment was edited for brevity, but notice the flaw in his logic? He’s implying the United States has been oppressing Muslims for 300 years even though the U.S. is not yet 300 years old. The U.K. may have been “oppressing” Muslims 300 years ago although you could argue that point, but notice his reparation for 300 years of oppression is not us having good relations with the Islamic world now, but our destruction. You’ll also note that Iraq is the last item of a list of imaginary grievances that extend some three centuries.

Hopefully Ron Paul will one day take note of this as well
