Leftist Hack Bows to President Obama on National Television

That’s right I said bows. Just when you thought the media couldn’t be any further in the tank for Barry O Brian Williams, fresh off propagandizing the death of George Tiller as the fault of Bill O’Reilly and Fox News, demonstrates the cult like devotion of the left for their messiah for all the world to see:

Victimless Crime File: Father Grows Pot with Son Because He Wants to be a “Cool Dad”

You know what would be cool? Doing a bid in the joint with your dad after he helps you run a small scale grow operation. What would be cooler than seeing your dad trade oral sex for protection, get beaten by other prisoners and know that he is so low down on the prison food chain he can’t do anything to protect you?

But at least he’s “cool” right? If by cool you mean outrageously immature and so desperate for the approval of young people he’d do something he knew was both wrong and stupid:

WEST VALLEY CITY — A West Valley City man is busted after police discover he’s growing marijuana with his teenage son. Joseph Feichko, 41, told police he grew marijuana with his son so he would be considered a “cool dad.”

Now police say he’s facing several charges, including child endangerment.

West Valley City Police received an anonymous tip that Joseph Feichko was growing the marijuana inside his home, near 6300 West and 3500 South, with his 17-year-old son.

When they came to the house to investigate, Feichko admitted to the officers that he was and then he showed them where.

West Valley City police Lt. Bill Merritt said, “He invited the officers to go with him downstairs to take a look. He had it located in a laundry room, and the officer found exactly what he was looking for.”

What police found was nine marijuana plants, each already about a foot tall, and several supplies ready to eventually harvest them. Merritt said, “He was growing enough that he would be able to cultivate it, harvest it and then sell it.”

They also learned Feichko’s 17-year-old son was currently living at the home and helped set up the operation. “My understanding is that the 17-year-old was involved and helped cultivate and making sure that the lights were set up correctly and that the watering was being done, and so that is unusual,” Merritt said.

In a court document filed in 3rd District Court Thursday, it says Feichko will be charged with a third-degree felony for knowingly and intentionally producing a controlled substance.

What’s “cooler” than that? Certainly not taking an interest in your child and doing anything and everything to protect them. Certainly it isn’t considered “cool” among pot heads for a person with children to grow up and put their kids before their own selfish and childish desires.

Drug use is indicative of a person living in an extended adolescence, which is one of the drawbacks of Americans living in a time of insane plenty for the last 40+ years (that is soon coming to an end however) and more importantly in people like the “father” above it is an example of how much we devalue fatherhood and the awesome responsibility that comes with it. Fathers should be teaching their sons how to be men, how to be successful, honorable, tough and self-reliant. Instead too many fathers try to use their sons to give them a second or third childhood, teaching the sons that being a man means nothing more than acting like a teenager forever.

Overwhelmed by News Link Round-Up (Plus Tila Tequila)

The news has been pretty wild in the last couple of days and I’ll never catch up with this cycle so here’s a selection of stories I’m following and may blog about more in depth later:

The Arkansas Recruiting Center Shooter was apparently being watched by the F.B.I. He admitted to killing Pvt. William Long and wounding Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula for “political reasons” as in he was driven to do it by Keith Olbermann (if we were to use Olberdouche’s logic) and has pled not guilty even though he’s admitted to shooting the men. Carlos Bledsoe a.k.a. Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad went to Yemen to study Jihadist theology with the same group that tutored Philly cop killer Howard Cain, where he was detained for fraudulently using a Somali passport.

Speaking of Philly, a “flash mob” of hundreds of teens ranging from 14-17 used MySpace and Twitter to orchestrate a violent riot in South Philadelphia. The teens carjacked a cab and drove it into a tree, pulled two women from a car and viciously beat and robbed them and generally were free to cause as much mayhem and bloodshed as possible because they overwhelmed local law enforcement with numbers. Aside from a very obvious illustration as to why you should be prepared to defend yourself (the police were powerless to stop the mob) this is a sign of things to come this summer as the rule of law breaks down in American cities.

Also in Philly, 26-year-old career degenerate Jose Carrasquillo was on the receiving end of some much deserved street justice after allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl. The rape was so violent the girl required surgery.

Billy Bob Thorton’s estranged daughter Amanda Brumfield was arrested for the death of a 1-year-old she was babysitting. The child died of blunt force trauma. Brumfield is saying the baby hit her head but the mother isn’t buying it.

Tank Girl star Lori Petty was arrested and charged with felony DUI. Felony DUIs are usually issued when injuries are involved.

The American educational system has spit out 50 million functional illiterates despite spending more on education per student than any other country.

The mother of missing little girl Nevaeh Buchanan was known to pal around with two different sex offenders, one of whom she called “father figure” to the child. Here’s a video the worst mother on earth explaining why this is no big deal.

The DOJ is demanding that Georgia stop making voters prove they’re Americans.

Gretawire is reporting that George and Cindy Anthony chased a carload of women around who had placed a memorial cross on the site where Caylee Anthony was found. From the reports it looks as if Caylee’s grandparents had been waiting until nightfall to remove any memorials left. This carload of women laid in wait to see who was removing their crosses and got a picture of them doing it, prompting the chase. Weird.

Yeah, that’s a depressing list. Here’s something fun. Tila Tequila is now officially a Republican so the 11th commandment is in effect. Welcome to the party kid:

Rocket Fired at Airliner Leaving Houston

A plane leaving Bush airport may have been fired on by a rocket or missile early Friday night in an incident that is still under investigation.

From the Chron:

Liberty County Sheriff’s officials are expected to meet with the FAA on Tuesday to discuss what a Continental Express pilot reported as a “missile or rocket” flying near his airplane.

A pilot reported to the Federal Aviation Administration that at about 8:15 p.m. Friday, an object passed within 150 feet beneath the aircraft, sheriff’s officials said.

The aircraft was near the southern edge of the county, flying at about 13,000 feet, officials said.

“The pilot, from what we understand, was former military. He was able to get the coordinates down real quick,” said Cpl. Hugh Bishop with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s deputies searched Friday night for signs of evidence where a missile might have been launched or landed.

“We couldn’t find anything,” Bishop said.

That could be because the object was a homemade munition recovered after firing.  Weapons like this don’t leave much debris at all:

Youtube and various Internet forums are full of instructions on weaponizing model rockets with homemade explosives so investigators may not find the kind of military missile wreckage they are looking for.

Via N.T.A. there is a longer ABC piece that includes a video report where authorities claim it was “bigger than a model rocket” but hobby rocketeers have been known to build some exceptionally powerful rockets in their workshops so ruling out a homemade munition is unwise. There is a black market for anti-Aircraft missiles, but if this was an attack on the jetliner with one we just got very lucky. The fact that the rocket missed the plane and did no damage seems to indicate that this may have been someone making something homemade who didn’t know that a model rocket isn’t a good ground to air weapon.

Hopefully the person will be caught before they realize that a more effective ground to ground munition can be made from the same materials.

Lefty Miami-Dade Prosecutor David Ranck Assaults Pizza Delivery Woman

That’s right he hit a pizza delivery woman in an altercation that started when she had trouble getting into his gated community. Who watches the watchers?

Veteran Miami-Dade prosecutor David Ranck faces battery charges after an alleged scuffle with a pizza delivery woman on Saturday during a delivery that went horribly wrong.

It’s the second report of prosecutors gone wild in the past week. A Broward County prosecutor was arrested late last week for punching a cop in the back of the head during a barroom fight.

At least he picked on a man.

According to police reports, Ranck and the unidentified woman got into a shouting match when the delivery person couldn’t get into the attorney’s gated community. After a bit of shouting that woke the neighbors, the woman told Ranck to come downstairs if he wanted his pizza.

Ranck did and punched the woman in the arm, Miami-Dade police said. He also knocked off her snazzy pizza delivery visor.

It’s unclear what Ranck was so mad about or if his pizza order was correct. Maybe the pizza was cold and didn’t come in the 30-minutes-or-less guarantee.

Ranck said the woman tapped him with her car, which sparked the altercation. Police sided with the pizza woman on Saturday, but did not take Ranck to lock up. He was released on his own recognizance.

Which is more consideration than Ranck gave to police officers he accused of the cold-blooded murder of Leonardo Barquin a year ago:

More than four years after the death of Leonardo Barquin, a string of interoffice memos from the state attorney’s office has surfaced on the Internet, thrusting the open investigation of the shooting back into the spotlight.

A series of 4-year-old letters between Assistant State Attorney David Ranck and his superiors began surfacing on a Web log maintained by Ranck and were picked up May 4 by the anonymously penned Justice Building Blog, a blog that focuses on events in Miami-Dade Circuit Court’s criminal division.

In the memos, Ranck, who is still a Miami-Dade prosecutor, claimed he was pulled off the investigation into Barquin’s death by office brass after he raised questions about whether the shooting by police was justifiable homicide.

Ranck said Barquin was shot twice from behind in the lower body Jan. 16, 2004.

“The deceased was found unarmed, and no firearm was found around where he fell nor on the co-defendant when he was captured,” Ranck wrote five weeks after the shooting.

After he was captured and had time to dump the piece? The fact here is that Ranck took the word of a small time hood over a cop, and rightly or wrongly didn’t get the results he wanted so he made a blog and started leaking information onto the Internet out of spite instead of trying to get justice done for the victim he thinks was murdered.

Think about that for a second, Ranck is the kind of guy who, when thinks his department is covering up a murder, craps out a blogspot blog and goes about his merry way until he roughs up some woman for delivering his pizza “all wrong.”

For the commenters at Justice Building blog Ranck is apparently a good guy. Here at Red Alerts I’ll call him what he really is: a scumbag.

As an aside, they must be doing a  hell of a job down there keeping the streets safe if their prosecutors have to live in gated communities.
