But Muslims have used rape as a political tool before, and certainly many Muslims (such as Wahhbists) interpret the Koran as giving license to capture women as slaves and have sexual relations with them which is the very definition of rape.
The militant Muslims who perpetrated the Beslan massacre raped many of the girls before murdering them and the slave trade in Darfur is based largely around procuring sex slaves, women whose sole purpose is literally to be raped by Muslim men.
