California Cannot Dig Itself Out of The Whole It’s In

Bureaucracy, special interests and ivory tower liberalism collided in California in the perfect storm bad polices and mismanagement. Now those three factors are making it impossible for California to save itself. For more than three decades California has become a financial house of card supporting the ever increasing weight of entangled political groups that creep outward like untamed Kudzu in an abandoned field. Soon California’s financial vines will be feeding off all the states until the entire country collapses. Meanwhile, the inept bureaucrats not only don’t have the political will to cut spending, they don’t know how:

Shocking isn’t it. That’s the state comptroller claiming he doesn’t have the physical ability to cut checks at minimum wage. The California financial system is so arcane, it’s processes so occult, that when Governor Schwarzenegger decides to pay workers minimum wage the person in charge of making those changes doesn’t know how it can be done.

California is going to be forced to turn to the federal government for a bailout in October. And there will be another and another until they pull the entire country down into insolvency. Money and wealth are finite but too many Americans don’t grasp that. California, and America, will have to realize that the hard way.
