Hamas Takes Gaza from Fatah!

Hamas launched a full-scale attack Tuesday afternoon against Fatah security bases and positions in Gaza, and succeeded in taking over a number of them, Israel Radio reported.

Hamas-affiliated television said that the organization overtook the entire northern section of the Gaza Strip. After airing the report, the station was attacked by PA security forces and forced to play pro-Fatah songs.

Israel Radio also reported that a top Fatah military official sent a message to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas stating that security forces were holding their ground, but calling on the Fatah leader to order an end to the current policy of restraint, allowing troops to return fire.

Don’t they deserve to return “home” to Israel?

Canadian Kristallnacht!

White trash north of the border are staging a Nazi like campaign of intimidation against a Jewish woman who owns some sort of book store chain in Canada. From the National post (h/t Relapsed Catholic):

TORONTO -It was a scene eerily reminiscent of Germany in the 1930s: protestors outside a Jewish-owned store warning anyone attempting to enter and spend their money that the premises were owned by a certain type of person. Seventy years ago, the hysterical zealots were Nazi brown-shirts, and they had no qualms about screaming, “Jews, Jews!” On Saturday the boycotters outside several branches of Chapters-Indigo bookstores were overwhelmingly of the far left and referred to “Zionists, Zionists!” But the message was the same. Don’t buy here. These people are? well, you know.

Actually, these people are Heather Reisman and Gerry Schwartz, who may well be Canada’s most high profile Jewish couple. They also dare to support the Heseg (Achievement) Foundation, which gives scholarships to lone Israeli soldiers. In other words, men and women who’ve lost their families or whose relatives live elsewhere are given financial help and grants to help them attend university. The money does not purchase arms and has no military purpose. It is purely humanitarian and often goes to the least privileged.

In fact, several beneficiaries have become leaders in the field of social services, conducting aid to Israeli Arabs and Palestinians as well as Israeli Jews in need. But facts should never get in the way of a protest. Which is not only daft but extraordinarily lazy, because only a few minutes walk away from various Chapters-Indigo stores (in Toronto, for instance) are embassies and businesses owned by Arab states directly supporting all sorts of lovely policies. Genocide in Darfur in Western Sudan. The arrest and torture of homosexuals, Christians and labour and feminist leaders. The routine persecution and killing of Palestinians.

Here’s a glimpse into the minds of the protesters. Pay close attention to the venom that gets spewed on this forum when someone dares defend Israel. Don’t want to read the thread? War criminals! Of course there’s no mention of exactly who these war criminals are. But we know what they are (wink) and we’re not talking gentiles.

How long before these hippies make the jump from “peace protesters” to full on Jew haters? I give it a year.

Did C.A.I.R. Make Up the Number of Muslims in the U.S.?

Investor’s Business Daily seems to think so:

The Pew Research Center just concluded an exhaustive scientific study of the size of the U.S. Muslim population. It was able to identify only 2.35 million Muslims — less than half the figure commonly cited by Muslim activists.

Pew, a liberal group with certainly no interest in marginalizing Islam, described its study as “perhaps the most rigorous effort to date to scientifically estimate the size of the Muslim American population.”

Yet it practically apologized for its more accurate reading, being that it came in “significantly below some commonly reported estimates frequently cited by Muslim groups.”

Foremost among such groups is the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which claims to represent Muslims in Washington. CAIR commissioned its own survey in 2001 and came up with 6 million to 7 million, an estimate it always touts in its press releases and on its Web site.

As a result, most media outlets — as well as Congress, the White House and the State Department — have parroted the figure to describe the size of the nation’s Muslim population.

Politicians in Washington are intimidated by the figure, which CAIR uses as a cudgel to help advance its Islamist agenda. They believe it.

But it’s a wildly inflated guess manufactured by CAIR, something the media could have easily refuted all these years if they dared — simply by deconstructing CAIR’s unscientific methodology.

Until now, finding reliable data for Muslims in America has been hard because the Census Bureau does not survey creed. So CAIR’s fuzzy math went unchallenged, even though the “respected scholar” it hired to lead its “study” wasn’t a trained demographer. In fact, as a CAIR board member, he wasn’t even independent.

Yet another lie C.A.I.R. has been caught in, like the one about them not supporting terrorism, how many more before the government wakes up to the reality of what these people are really about?

Of course C.A.I.R. has also been less than honest about the size of its constituency. Some are saying that C.A.I.R has lost 90% of its membership over the past few years, but I think we should wonder if they made up those numbers too in an effort to get the governments ear, then when people started to ask too many questions, they lied yet again.

So who’s supporting C.A.I.R. now anyway? Maybe we should ask this guy.

British Police Allow Honor Killing

Authorities in England ignored a womans pleas for help when she had complained to the police that her father had been plotting to murder her after she fled an abusive arraigned marriage. The woman was subsequently murdered setting off an investigation into how this could have happened. From The Independent:

Banaz Mahmod made no secret of her belief that her father wanted to kill her. She was in hospital, nursing wounds incurred in an escape from him, when her boyfriend recorded a video of her on his mobile phone, in December 2005.

“It was just me and him in the living room. I turned around every now and then because I didn’t trust him,” she told the camera. Ms Mahmod also told police, four times, that she feared for her life and produced a list of three men she believed would murder her – but all to no avail.

Less than a month after making the video she was strangled. Her body was packed into a suitcase and driven 100 miles from London to Birmingham where she was buried in a back garden with the ligature – a shoelace – still around her neck.

Yesterday, campaigners demanded an Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) investigation into why Ms Mahmod, 20, died, at the end of a three-month Old Bailey trial in which her father, Mahmod Mahmod, 52, and his brother Ari Mahmod, 51, from Mitcham, south London, were convicted of murdering her. Mohamad Hama, 30, of West Norwood, south London, an associate of Ari Mahmod, had already pleaded guilty to the murder.

It emerged during the trial that a female police officer concluded Ms Mahmod had made up her story to get her boyfriend’s attention. PC Angela Cornes, one of several officers who could be investigated by Scotland Yard’s Directorate of Professional Standards, also told the jury that she had been instructed to doctor evidence by a detective inspector, Caroline Goode, to present the investigation in a better light.

No doubt the investigators were indoctrinated in the cult of multiculturalism, where taking seriously the plight of a woman whose only crime was to have born into a backward clan of barbarians would be termed Islamophobia. Had they fearlessly pursued justice ignoring the petty cries of bigotry the murderous family would have no doubt thrown their way, that young woman would be alive today.
