Peaceful Muslim Goes on Anti-Christian Rampage in California Mall

I’m sure he was driven to it by the backlash of irrational anti-Muslim sentiment Americans have been wallowing in these last few years. It couldn’t be that Islam itself is in need of an Enlightenment the same way medieval Christianity was. After all it’s the Religion of Peace, right?

From the Danville Express:

Police arrested 22-year-old Abdul Walid Hamid of Hayward on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 4, after he reportedly tore a crucifix from a person’s neck and scared others at Stoneridge Shopping Center.

Hamid, an employee at a mall kiosk near Starbucks, has been charged with battery, terrorist threats and grand theft.

According to reports, Hamid was yelling “Allah is power” and “Islam is great” while holding a pen in a fist over his head. Witnesses said he shouted anti-Christian comments, said police.

Lt. Mike Elerick of the Pleasanton Police Department said the man was not provoked and didn’t threaten violence, but he committed robbery when he grabbed and broke a crucifix off someone’s neck.

Coworkers told police that Hamid’s actions were out of the ordinary and that he had worked at the kiosk for years.

Police also said they weren’t aware of a prior criminal history for the man.

“We had multiple people calling 911,” Elerick said. “One female was crouching down and hiding from him. He definitely scared quite a few people.”

Elerick said much of the man’s speech was similar to the loud scene of the Christian activists who frequent downtown Pleasanton. The big difference, however, was that Hamid was on private property and had physical contact with someone.

Yes, yes except for the violence and trespassing Hamid’s actions could be seen as exactly like the placard carrying god botherers who politely pass out pamphlets while their leaders give a Constitutionally protected sermon in a public space.

If you’re an idiot.

Not being on board with the Jesus myself, I can understand the annoyance one feels when someone preaches gospel at you while you’re looking to score an Orange Julius, but frankly most Christians I run into are polite and easily waved off. Hamid would have ripped my several gaudy necklaces off while screaming in my face about the power of his supposed god (but in actuality was the pre-Islamic father god of the pagan Arabs’ most venerated goddesses al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat) and looking for a fight, which he would have gotten because unlike Californians I don’t let dudes in those Muslim man-dresses rough me up. On a personal note: Danvillians, man up.

But I can see how that’s in some way similar to having someone ask you if you’d like a little of Jesus’ infinite love or whatever.

Of course Hamid got even more disrespectful in court when the thug, who proved he could speak English well enough to be understood by the people he was victimizing, used an interpreter to speak to the judge. You know, because the judge on his case is beneath him.

But this is just an isolated incident right? It isn’t indicative of the kind of hatred being taught in Mosques these days is it?

Obama-Led Feds Knew Fort Hood Killer Tried to Contact Al-Qaeda and Attended a Radical Mosque

Yet D.H.S. head Janet Napolitano has claimed that Major Nidal Hasan is an “individual” whose actions are completely unrelated to Jihadism in an intellectual exercise so Orwellian that I frankly thought it was a joke when someone told me what she said.

With the release of this information it looks like that’s just one facet of covering the Obama administration’s asses. From ABC:

U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Army Major Nidal Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with al Qaeda, two American officials briefed on classified material in the case told ABC News.

It is not known whether the intelligence agencies informed the Army that one of its officers was seeking to connect with suspected al Qaeda figures, the officials said.

One senior lawmaker said the CIA had, so far, refused to brief the intelligence committees on what, if any, knowledge they had about Hasan’s efforts.

CIA director Leon Panetta and the Director of National Intelligence, Dennis Blair, have been asked by Congress “to preserve” all documents and intelligence files that relate to Hasan, according to the lawmaker.

On Sunday, Senator Joseph Lieberman (D-CT) called for an investigation into whether the Army missed signs as to whether Hasan was an Islamic extremist.

“If Hasan was showing signs, saying to people that he had become an Islamist extremist, the U.S. Army has to have a zero tolerance,” Lieberman told Fox News Sunday.

That’s why I voted for Lieberman when I was in Connecticut, because he’s tough on terror. And here he is totally right yet again. But contacting Al-Qaeda isn’t the only red flag that was raised by Hasan. Via Michelle Malkin comes this Telegraph piece showing Hasan’s ties to the 9/11 hijackers:

Hasan, the sole suspect in the massacre of 13 fellow US soldiers in Texas, attended the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia, in 2001 at the same time as two of the September 11 terrorists, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt. His mother’s funeral was held there in May that year.

The preacher at the time was Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born Yemeni scholar who was banned from addressing a meeting in London by video link in August because he is accused of supporting attacks on British troops and backing terrorist organisations.

Hasan’s eyes “lit up” when he mentioned his deep respect for al-Awlaki’s teachings, according to a fellow Muslim officer at the Fort Hood base in Texas, the scene of Thursday’s horrific shooting spree.

As investigators look at Hasan’s motives and mindset, his attendance at the mosque could be an important piece of the jigsaw. Al-Awlaki moved to Dar al-Hijrah as imam in January, 2001, from the west coast, and three months later the September 11 hijackers Nawaf al-Hamzi and Hani Hanjour began attending his services. A third hijacker attended his services in California.

Hasan was praying at Dar al-Hijrah at about the same time, and the FBI will now want to investigate whether he met the two terrorists.

Charles Allen, a former under-secretary for intelligence at the Department of Homeland Security, has described al-Awlaki, who now lives in Yemen, as an “al-Qaeda supporter, and former spiritual leader to three of the September 11 hijackers… who targets US Muslims with radical online lectures encouraging terrorist attacks from his new home in Yemen”.

But it get worse. His fellow soldiers and even his fellow Muslims were concerned about Hasan’s radicalism:

What does seem clear is that the army missed an increasing number of red flags that Hasan was a troubled and brooding individual within its ranks.

“I was shocked but not surprised by news of Thursday’s attack,” said Dr Val Finnell, a fellow student on a public health course in 2007-08 who heard Hasan equate the war on terrorism to a war on Islam. Another student had warned military officials that Hasan was a “ticking time bomb” after he reportedly gave a presentation defending suicide bombers.

Kamran Pasha, the author of Mother of the Believers, a new novel relating the story of Islam from the perspective of Aisha, Prophet Mohammed’s wife, was told of the al-Awlaki connection from a Muslim friend who is also an officer at Fort Hood. Using the name Richard, the recent convert to Islam described how he frequently prayed with Hasan at the town mosque after Hasan was deployed to Fort Hood in July. They last worshipped together at predawn prayers on the day of the massacre when Hasan “appeared relaxed and not in any way troubled or nervous”.

But Richard had previously argued with Hasan when he said that he felt the “war on terror” was really a war against Islam, expressed anti-Jewish sentiments and defended suicide bombings.

“I asked Richard whether he believed that Hasan was motivated by religious radicalism in his murderous actions,” Mr Pasha said.

“Richard, with great sadness, said that he believed this was true. He also believed that psychological factors from Hasan’s job as an army psychiatrist added to his pathos. The news that he would be deployed overseas, to a war that he rejected, may have pushed him over the edge.

“But Richard does not excuse Hasan. As a Muslim, he finds Hasan’s religious perspectives to be fundamentally misguided. And as a soldier, he finds Hasan’s actions cowardly and evil.”

But not every Muslim does clearly. A woman named Khadeeja Nuur, who claims to work for a “Islamic interest group” out of Washington DC put up a Facebook page asking Muslims to pray for Hasan’s recovery and asking for donations to several Islamic groups like CAIR,The Arab American Institute and The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committe.

Anwar Al-Awalki praised the massacre online. From his blog:

Nidal Hassan is a hero. He is a man of conscience who could not bear living the contradiction of being a Muslim and serving in an army that is fighting against his own people. This is a contradiction that many Muslims brush aside and just pretend that it doesn’t exist. Any decent Muslim cannot live, understanding properly his duties towards his Creator and his fellow Muslims, and yet serve as a US soldier. The US is leading the war against terrorism which in reality is a war against Islam. Its army is directly invading two Muslim countries and indirectly occupying the rest through its stooges.
Nidal opened fire on soldiers who were on their way to be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. How can there be any dispute about the virtue of what he has done? In fact the only way a Muslim could Islamically justify serving as a soldier in the US army is if his intention is to follow the footsteps of men like Nidal.
The heroic act of brother Nidal also shows the dilemma of the Muslim American community. Increasingly they are being cornered into taking stances that would either make them betray Islam or betray their nation. Many amongst them are choosing the former. The Muslim organizations in America came out in a pitiful chorus condemning Nidal’s operation.
The fact that fighting against the US army is an Islamic duty today cannot be disputed. No scholar with a grain of Islamic knowledge can defy the clear cut proofs that Muslims today have the right -rather the duty- to fight against American tyranny. Nidal has killed soldiers who were about to be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in order to kill Muslims. The American Muslims who condemned his actions have committed treason against the Muslim Ummah and have fallen into hypocrisy.
Allah(swt) says: Give tidings to the hypocrites that there is for them a painful punishment –

The implied threat to American Muslims who defend the Republic that provides for them so much freedom and protection from people like Hasan (or we used to, now Obama embraces Jihadism) cannot be ignored. There are forces in the Muslim community that must be countered and Americans must not shy away from that.

People knew this man was a Jihadist but sat on their hands because it is politically correct to do so. We know that there are certain Imams and organizations (like CAIR) that are fronts for Jihadism and we pretend they aren’t because it’s politically correct to do so. Political correctness kills and will kill again. It is a betrayal not just to those who end up victims of Jihadism, but the Muslims we throw to the wolves when we support Jihadists at the expense of reformers who understand they never had it so good as they do in the West.

People are dying and Obama’s D.H.S. is lying. It’s time for the truth to come out at last.

Terror Attack at Fort Hood? (Update) FBI Says No Terror Involved?

The news is sketchy right now but Fox is reporting that at least seven people are dead and twenty are wounded in a mass shooting that is believed to have been perpetrated by two or three assailants dressed in fatigues:

A mass shooting at Ft. Hood military post in Texas has left at least 7 dead and 20 wounded and one suspected gunman is on the loose, officials told Fox News.

A massive manhunt was under way for the suspect at large, Fox News confirmed. One person was in custody. The New York Post said that there were two shooters at the Army post massacre; other reports said there were three.

The attack apparently happened at Ft. Hood’s Soldier Readiness Center. Army officials didn’t know whether the victims were civilians or military personnel.

Other media reports said the number of victims remained unclear.

The men were reportedly dressed in Army fatigues, but military officials couldn’t confirm that they were Army personnel.

The base and area schools were on lockdown after the mass shooting, and all those on the Army post were asked to gather for a head count.

The FBI was en route to Ft. Hood to provide assistance.

MyfoxDFW is reporting that the shootings occurred during a graduation ceremony and have a video report. One assailant was wounded and is in custody.

MSNBC has more.

Michelle Malkin (via Twitter) reports that there is a person tweeting from inside Fort Hood- twitter.com/FtHoodShootings

Update: CNN has a report but it’s a rehash. Breitbart has video from MSNBC. Cavuto is talking to a woman on lock-down in Ft. Hood. Things seems calm but no one is allowed to leave yet.

Update: As of 4:20 Drudge is reporting that two suspects are in custody and four SWAT team officers have been injured.

Update: KWTX is reporting via Twitter that the base is using loud speakers to tell people to stay indoors. Cavuto is reporting that the F.B.I. is saying this IS NOT terrorism.

Update (4:35): Some reports are that 9 are dead, 30 wounded. Chron has report two shooters were involved.

Update (5:09): 12 dead, over 30 wounded. Primary shooter was a soldier using two handguns.

Update(5:22) One shooter identified as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.

Update: Hasan still alive! The news media is really slipping nowadays.

New Jersey Democrats Sending Known Gangbangers Door-to-Door for Get Out the Vote Campaign

There’s a clear message here to any Democrats thinking of not supporting Corzine today, and it’s typical of the thuggery New Jersey Democrats are used to employing to keep the bleating sheep of my former home in line. From Election Journal:

How would you like to be a New Jersey police officer and look out your window and see several known criminals, including a man you arrested several weeks ago and another who had just been released from prison for shooting a cop?  And then find out that the men were sent into the neighborhood by the Democratic Party for GOTV operations – complete with lists of voters names, addresses and phones numbers!

That is what happened Sunday on a quiet street in Morris Township.  The officer, who’s name we are with holding, specifically heard the men discussing that he was a police officer and that they now know where he lives.   The officer confronted the men and they took off.  He contacted the local police who responded and caught up with them and about a dozen other men a few blocks away.

At which point they were found to be part of the Democrats’ GOTV efforts. Of course the ‘bangers have the names and addresses of hundreds of Jerseyites who live in a state with draconian gun laws and no right to self defense. They are easily able to observe who is home alone and who seems like easy targets for home invasions.  What could go wrong?

The Jersey Dems were apparently burned by gangs before, according to the article, when Bloods they hired stole at least $6000 from the State Committee. Lesson learned? Not so much. Here’s video from a witness:

WRTAC: Michigan Muslim Leader’s Death Will Lead to Ummah vs Law Enforcement Street War

Which illustrates the reason we shouldn’t allow radical Islamism to fester in our communities in the first place. The radical Sunni set run by dog murdering degenerate Luqman Abdullah is going to be looking for reprisals against law enforcement, according to the Washington Regional Threat Analysis Center.

Violent reprisals for the self-defense shooting of a terrorist sympathizer by law enforcement? Sounds less like a religious group and more like a gang.

From the Washington Times:

Federal officials have issued a warning that the shooting death of a radical Sunni Islamic leader in Michigan on Wednesday night may engender retaliatory violence against law enforcement officers there as well as in the Washington area, though law enforcement officials played it down as a routine measure.

Gunfire erupted during the arrest of Ummah leader Luqman Abdullah and members of his group after Abdullah pulled a gun and shot and killed an FBI canine, according to a document obtained by The Washington Times from the Washington Regional Threat and Analysis Center (WRTAC).

FBI agents returned fire at the warehouse in Dearborn, Mich., and killed Abdullah, who was charged with selling stolen goods and illegal possession and sale of firearms.

“Abdullah’s death and associated arrests may foster resentment, violent rhetoric, and threats from Ummah adherents,” said the raw intelligence document issued by the WRTAC.

“Because of the group’s anti-law enforcement sentiments, law enforcement officers should be particularly mindful of this change in the threat environment and the possibility for retaliation,” the WRTAC said.

As for implications in the D.C. area, the WRTAC said that “Ummah sympathizers or other similar groups may be operating in the National Capital Region. Officers should be alert for possible retaliatory actions as a result of the FBI Detroit raid.”

[…]

The FBI arrested seven people during the raid, but three associates of Abdullah remain at large.

“The Ummah is a radical, violent Sunni Islamic fundamentalist group comprised primarily of African-American Muslim converts who espouse anti-law enforcement and anti-US government sentiments,” the WRTAC said.

Its leader, Abdullah, operated out of the Masjid Al-Haqq in Detroit.

According to an FBI alert, “the death of Abdullah and the arrest of Ummah members/supporters will disrupt the Ummah in Detroit, Michigan. Due to his close ties and staunch support of Jamil Al-Amin (aka H. Rapp Brown), incarcerated leader of the Ummah, Abdullah’s death and the arrests may foster resentment, violent rhetoric, and threats from Ummah adherents.”

Ah. It sounds like a gang because it is in essence a gang of prison converts who still operate like a gang. I hoped I’d never see the day Muslims could challenge the state for authority here, but when the media cannot cover the story because of Ummah violence and the dead traitor was known to call for the violent overthrow of the Republic I fear that day is coming soon. And it will begin in Detroit.
