Crime Stories I’m Following Link Round Up

Following but not blogging about. I’m a busy man after all. But these stories are interesting and some will directly affect you and your loved ones.

These stories come via Drudge:

Recession strapped Toledo is laying off about 75 police officers, leading to an increase in gun sales to people who are suddenly realizing the police aren’t state provided permanent bodyguards.

Columbus, Ohio is threatening to lay off up to 300 police officers if the voters reject a tax increase. Some of those cops jobs were supposedly saved by stimulus money.

Sacramento is closing down its main mental hospital due to economic woes.

Gateway Pundit has been following a corruption scandal involving Chrysler closings.  Almost all of the dealership closings come from “red” counties, while the biggest Democrat donor was allowed to keep six dealerships open as all his competition was closed by the government. Doug Ross has evidence that almost all dealerships closed by Chrysler were donors to the McCain campaign. The decision to close the dealerships was made by President’s task force.

Trench posted the story of a Toronto man who used the site Vampire Freaks to find an underage girl. He then made child porn and bestiality videos with her. This is the third or fourth story I’ve come across where that site has been involved in an especially heinous crime. When will parents learn to keep their kids off it?

Lilo has all the sad and sick details of the Melecio Camacho case. Warning, this is a brutal rape and murder of a three-year-old, strong stomach required.

The Shaming of the Shames has a post up on the Imette St. Guillen trial that’s worth reading, especially if you buy into any of the conspiracy theories about the main suspect being set up.

Internal memo shows ACORN knowingly violated the conditions that allow them to have tax-exempt status. Got to love that Hot Air “Greenroom” section.

Shadowscope has an update on missing child Nevaeh Buchanan.

T.D.K.O.M has a horrific story of an attempted rape in a daycare center.

Black and Missing but Not Forgotten has the sad case of Bonita Sanders, missing for 22-years.

Am I missing anything?

Memorial Day Weekend Link Round-Up: Honor our Heroes

Today is the day we honor the sacrifices of the millions of men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedom, and pledge as a nation to remain free people at any costs. Today we give thanks for the heroes who died defending us and promise to remain ever vigilant for the sake of future generations of Americans:

The U.S.O. does great work for the troops, and is always looking for donations.

Wounded Warriors is another great organization that could use your help.

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation provides funds for the children of fallen Spec ops forces.

Cell Phones for Soldiers is also a great cause. As is Operation Iraqi Children.

Treats for Troops is a good way for you to put together care packages for the troops.

Operation Ward57 is another great cause that helps our troops.

America’s Heroes of Freedom helps our troops and civil personal who are often in harm’s way.

The Pease Greeters are also a great group to support. They’ve been giving our troops a hero’s welcome since 2005.

So while we’re enjoying our cook outs take some time to give to one of these worthy organizations, or any other that honors American heroes.

Sunday Evening Link Round-Up

I’m busy putting together new bookshelves for my library and starting a writing project so I’m just going to throw some links out to you that I was going to blog about but don’t have the time:

A tale of two shootings – Theo Spark blogs about the Tony Martin case while Xavier posts about the heroic college student who stopped a home invasion where the intruders planned on raping then killing the attendees.

As goes Norway – Atlas posted pictures of Jewish graves in Norway that have been desecrated, including having Swastikas spray painted on them. A Norwegian blogger she cites says the area is now predominantly Muslim and he suspects Islamists are the culprit. Gates of Vienna has a translation up of an interview with a rich Pakistani-Muslim film maker who moved to Norway and is forming a political party called the Independent Labor Party. Among other things he claims Norway should be fighting alongside Pakistan for Kashmir, gays should be stripped of Norway’s marriage rights and Jews were responsible for 9/11. Norway has just broken up a terror plot by Muslim immigrants.

Via Gateway Pundit Paulnuts went berserk at a Lindsey Graham speech. Classless:

Speaking of classless – Perez Hilton gets a much needed lesson in class by a former mobster.

Pandemic Update – Swine flu closes three more NYC schools. An inmate at Rikers may have it. The W.H.O. is bracing the world for more infections.

Briant Rodriguez, who was kidnapped from his California home two weeks ago, was found wandering the streets of Mexico. Also found in Mexico, four dead Americans.

Bad advice – A cop in Texas told reporters they should comply with criminals so they won’t get hurt. How’d that work out for the victims of the Wichita massacre? Never allow a criminal to tie you up or take you to a secondary crime scene. It’s better to risk surviving a gunshot on the streets where someone may find you than hope some rapist is kind enough to not murder you.

Pagans Against Child Abuse has started a campaign to monitor social network Ning for pedophile groups. They’ve gotten several shut down so are off to a good start. Support PACA if you have the time.

Victor Davis Hanson has an excellent essay up on what he thinks Obama’s weak spots are, how they’ll turn people against him.

Another good essay is America’s Coming Tectonic Shift by George Potts Thompson. Also The True Nature of Socialism over at The Pagan Temple is thought provoking.

Jenn Q. Public fisks the myth of rampant military sexual assaults in Lies, Damn Lies and Military Sexual Assault Statistics.

Z.A.C. notes that supposedly Libertarian site Lew Rockwell has the exact same drug policy as anarcho-marxist agi-prop site Indymedia. I guess you can lean so far right you end up on the left.

Late Sunday/Early Monday Link Round-Up

It’s no secret that I’m a crazed survivalist with the world’s most neglected survival blog. As such I have spent this weekend “prepping” for the inevitable apocalypse which may or may not include civilization ending solar storms, an Autumn Swine Flu die off or the dreaded Mass Rising of the Dead who will feast upon the flesh and/or brains of the living. This largely included transplanting my one of my tomato plants and demanding that the lazy, good for nothing Bumble Bees who spend their time trying to crash into my head pollinate my damn tomatillos.

I also found yet another Hard Tack recipe on the ‘net which is frankly exactly like all the others, but this one has a video.

In other words I puttered around all weekend so I’m throwing up this link round up of all the things I’ve been meaning to blog about but never got around to:

The Black Sphere posted this great video about the Klan vote and Democrat hero Hugo Black. Great Moments in Democrat Racist History:

The Pagan Temple takes on Wiccan con artist Marrenna Lindberg, the morbidly obese author of The Orgasmic Diet. In the book Lindberg basically tells women to artificially boost testosterone levels and “embrace real foods” like fatty foods, milk, double bacon cheeseburgers and all the things she likes to stuff in her swollen gullet, that is when she isn’t pretending to be a gay man in sexually explicit chats on forums. Patrick Kelly says it best:

I have a pretty firm way of looking at overweight people who spout off about magic and spirituality when they apply this much-vaunted learning and wisdom to the areas of government and left-wing politics. Without seeing them, you might merely assume they are simply deluded. Once you get a good look at their fat-asses, you then start to realize they might just be full of shit.

Cryptic Subterranean brings us a story from jolly old England that shows what happens when you rely on the state to defend you and your family from criminal predation. The Gun Rights Examiner backs him up.

Oxford is about to make a degenerate with a history of sexually harassing students their Professor of Poetry and consider it “sabotage” to point out his history of abuse. He doesn’t deny the charges.

Atlas exposes institutionalized Jew hatred in the University of Toronto.

An Egyptian government minister issued a Fatwa calling for the slaughtering of pigs-because pigs are Jews.

German socialists are moving to silence a Pro-Israeli blogger. This seems familiar somehow…

Sultan Knish has a provocative must read essay called Obama’s plan to destroy Israel that I’ve re-read twice. Spend some time with it.

Iraqi Military Spokesman Maj. general Atta Qassim says Obama’s release of 4000 insurgents has cause Al-Qaeda to revitalize and increase activity.

Charles Johnson was the Religion of Peace Dhimwit of the month for April. Looks like people are starting to notice his perfidy.

I thought Libertarians were against wars of aggression? Lew Rockwell has made an exception for Russia’s war on Georgia. Z.A.C. also has a piece on the new Blood Libel. Supporting Israel = White Supremacy.

In End of the World news (h/t Survival Blog):

Tamaflu has been linked to abnormal behavior in patients 10-17 in a Japanese study. The“real” unemployment rate is likely at around 15% and the decline of the dollar is acceleratng. Doctors are predicting a worse strain of Swine flu this fall and corporate insiders are quietly selling off at a frantic rate. According to a chart on The Pragmatic Capitalist Jeffery Bezos of Amazon sold 800,000 shares May 1st and another 200,000 may 4th. I’m putting in my Amazon orders quick.

Deborah Perez is not the daughter of the Zodiac, but she is a nut. Surprise!

Babalu Blog has a beautiful letter from a customer to Urban Outfitters explaining why Che t-shirts are so offensive.

Family Security matters has a great essay on Female Sex Killers.

This is why gun control will never work.

Gardening Day Link Round-Up

rob-overgrown-garden.jpg

I’m working on a post relating a lot of the recent news (like the craigslist murders and the Tila Tequila stalker) to an overall acceptance of misogyny which I hoped would be finished but, being a crazed survivalist,  I’m starting a garden so I just got home after buying a bunch of plants to go with my fig tree. Yeah I bought a fig tree, what of it? I also may be at the Greenville South Carolina Tea Party tonight so if you see the guy in the camouflage cowboy hat that’s me.

I’m also working on a piece for a Wrestling site and compiling links for a post about Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors for Fiendish Delights. So my post, which will be a must read for any serious thinker if I do say so myself, may be up later tonight or tomorrow.

But here’s some links to tied you over:

G. Gorden Liddy speaking with Tom Tancredo about assimilation, immigration and all sorts of things. Surreal and insightful at the same time.

Jenn Q. Public takes the maker of a new film outing gay Republicans to task.

The Pagan Temple questions the MSM’s portrayals of the Tea Party Protesters.

G.S.G.F. on China, Russia and the politics of missile development

Absolute Zero posts a damning piece on Jim Freeman who was the executive director of anti-sex offender registry advocacy group SoHopeful International. Surprise! He’s a filthy pervert on his way to jail for trading child porn online.

Experts are predicting Pakistan’s collapse. Yay! Free Nukes for everyone!

Z.A.C. on American Communists helping the Jihad

UMass Amherst apparently has a fascism training program run out of their student government.

If you support the SPCA Adult film actress Bree Olsen has promised to give the prize money from some porn contest to the Ft Wayne Indiana SPCA if you help her win. A good cause, or a good way for me to get Google traffic by using a porn star’s name? Either way it’s a win/win!

And to check out Dax Riggs. One of the only original performers out there he deserves your support.
