New York Cell of Communist Party U.S.A. Partakes in Filthy Capitalism!

The irony of an organization dedicated to promoting state control of everything, including the media, begging for contributions from readers to help continue publishing their “independent” paper is sweet like honey. From the New York C.P. Blog:

Labor Day is rolling around again signaling the end of summer and the beginning of the annual People’s Weekly World Fund Drive.

This year’s drive runs from Labor Day until Thanksgiving with a national goal of raising $200,000 to support the publishing of our favorite newspaper, the People’s Weekly World (PWW).

Here in New York State, we have pledged to raise $40,000, and we need your help to do it. We thank the many of you that have already pledged or contributed but we have a long way to go yet.

If you don’t already know, the PWW is a unique working-class publication with over 80 years of history covering the trade union movement, civil rights and student organizations and all of the struggles for peace, democracy, equality and socialism in this country and around the world.

The PWW doesn’t receive any corporate gifts, foundation grants, and doesn’t have any big advertisers. It produces an unparalleled and much celebrated alternative news publication every week only through the dedication and support of its readers.

Subscriptions and donations are the bread-and-butter of the PWW, and every year we take a few eeks to ask all of you to dig deep and put your money where your values are. If you believe in a better world, one where working people have power over their own lives, where the environment is protected from corporate greed, where equality and justice are more than just slogans, where our country is a force for peace and international friendship, then make a contribution to the People’s Weekly World Today.

Let me get this straight, the Communist party is going to smash Capitalism by selling overpriced newspapers to people with disposable income who like to pretend their revolutionaries? I suppose the subscriptions come with a Che t-shirt and a hammer and sickle design tote bag.

Sounds like the “Communist” party is just another scam to separate suckers from their money, you know like Focus on the Family or Alex Jones’ Prison Planet.

Damn Commies! They don’t even know how market their product. But I guess it’s hard to market oppression and evil. Here at Red Alerts we sell patriotism and love for the good ole U.S. of A. and after years of intensive market research we learned how to best communicate our message of Liberty to the world:

Madness! Hamas Bans Women in Bikinis!

GAZA CITY — For years, the seaside Flower of the Cities resort was that rare place in the Gaza Strip where the dress code did not rule out bikinis. Now, with some of its cinder-block cabanas turned into prayer rooms, the beach club shows how Hamas is consolidating its hold here three months after seizing power.

Bushy beards and black head-to-toe cloaks for women have become common at the club, which the armed Islamic movement torched in June after routing the secular Fatah party on the streets. The facility has been rebranded the al-Aqsa Resort, with a new logo featuring the revered mosque complex in Jerusalem next to a beach umbrella. Hamas followers collect the $2.50 entrance fee.

Like the party it supported, the bikini crowd has disappeared, leaving the trash-flecked beach and murky swimming pool to Bassem al-Khodori and a half-dozen other Hamas supporters, who now have jobs at the resort.

Outrageous! What kind of man who claims to be heterosexual demands that women be completely covered? Why are these effeminate misogynists so interested in ensuring that their young male companions can’t get a glimpse of of a beautiful woman? Jealousy?

The barbarity of Islamism knows no boundaries. The radical Muslim is taught to be so disgusted by women that they can’t even bear to look at them. They are anti-joy, anti-freedom and anti-life, everything the harpies at Pandagon claim American Christians are but 100 times worse. Of course you won’t find Amanda marcotte or Pam Spaulding attacking this sort of behavior, they’re on Hamas side on this one.

I just thank the gods that I live in America.

All Americans Should be Proud of Tila Tequila!

I got a comment once where a person was nice enough to inform me that I had risque ads showing up featuring my favorite capitalist, Tila Tequila. It read:

FYI, your Internet ad is advertising a Maxim poster of Tila Tequila in scantily clad and suggestively postured. And a button of her which description, to give you an idea, says â€œhuge boobsâ€.

It should be noted that thus far this is the only complaint I’ve received, but it isn’t the first time I had to explain to someone why I think Tila Tequila is a great example of what’s right with America in a time every politician, pundit and shut-in with an Internet connection is talking about what’s wrong with America.

Tila Tequila proves that America is still the land of opportunity, that America is still a country that rewards risk takers. You can be who you want without government interference and if you work hard and are smart you can make a living being that person. That’s what Tila did, isn’t it? She took an appearance on Surviving Nugent and a popular MySpace page and parlayed it into fame and fortune.

That’s America, a place where you can literally live your dreams. There is no English Tila Tequila, there is no Canadian Tila Tequila, there’s certainly no Russian, or Venezuelan or North Korean Tila Tequila, because Tila’s success is a product of American culture, political life and our free market system. She’s a product of freedom, and that’s something that, sadly, even our friends in Canada and England have less of than us.

Despite what some will say, Tila is also wholesome, for lack of a better word, but even my wife finds her adorable, not slutty. She may be in an issue of Penthouse or she may do some very provocative photo shoots (NSFW) but Tila still maintains an image of a fun loving, hard living woman who respects herself and is facing the world on her terms. That’s American.

Sure she got suckered in by Sicko and started yammering about free health care and and how great Cuba is. That just means she hasn’t read my Sicko Fun Fact posts showing that a socialized health care system leads to worse treatment for a nation’s most vulnerable populations, not better. Or maybe she needs to read about The Real Cuba and how the women there are treated by the Communist government. Or maybe she’s an old fashioned lefty. But so what? That’s her right as an American.

The fact is, Tila Tequila is the Gene Simmons of the Internet, a genius marketer who created not just an act but a brand. She makes a living just being Tila, and on this blog no ad has a higher click through rate than one with her name attached. She’s not just a celebrity, she’s an industry, and she makes sites like this one and dozens of others possible.

So I proudly display Tila merchandise, and for Labor Day, leave you with a selection of Tila Tequila web fluff sure to bring a smile to everyone’s faces.

So in the future, don’t assume that because I’m a “conservative” that I’m stodgy, uptight and don’t want sex on my page. The Loyalist Party:Hope for America or America’s BNP?

I actually briefly met the Loyalist Party organizers for New York last April at the Rally Against Islamofascism and was impressed with their patriotism, realism and energy, but I had some reservations about the presentation of their message. Controlling our borders and confronting Islamic Imperialism are both laudable goals, petitioning to have Islam de-classified as a religion seems more counter productive to ensuring American freedom. After all, the Loyalist are essentially advocating giving the government (or really the mob) the authority to decide what will be a sanctioned religion.

Like in red China.

The Loyalists also confuse being opposed to Islamic imperialism with being opposed to Muslims in general. No Muslim is allowed to join the party even those who are willing to fight against Wahhabism or those more open to American society like Sufis. This is a mistake, there are Muslims who wish for reform and modernization. There are Muslims that are anti-Wahhabist who could be our allies in the coming wars. The Loyalists will allow our allies in the middle east to fall one by one, and American Muslims to slowly be colonized by Wahhabism, by depriving them of American alliances.

I had a conversation once with someone from the U.A.C. where we discussed the Loyalists and how it was too easy to present them as modern day Fascists, an American BNP. Like the BNP the Loyalists are hampered from getting their message out because their rhetoric not only borrows from White nationalism, but attracts a White Nationalist contingent. This person actually knew the people and told me frankly that they weren’t racists, weren’t “nationalist” in the traditional sense, and if fact were just unaware of how easy it will be to smear them.

My problem with the Loyalists is not that they’reracists, but their stance makes it too easy to portray them as that.

The Loyalists are are in their infancy however, and are learning to promote their message without sounding like bigots. If this keeps up they’ll be poised to replace Libertarianism as the viable third party of American politics. I don’t agree with some of their platform but if they really become a big tent party and reach out to legal immigrants I’d be interested in seeing how they evolve and how many people they draw from the Democrats and Republicans.

As of now, I am still a Republican and support the G.O.P. for national office, but I have no problem endorsing the Loyalists for local elections, they are radical, shocking and very important to the future political life of the United States. They are just what America needs to reinvigorate the political scene and begin to have an honest debate about where America is, and where it’s going.

Loyalist co-founder Brian Nordval has just done an interesting interview on Blogtalk radio, anyone interested in this dynamic new movement should take a listen. He does a great job explaining the platform, even the reasoning behind the Islamic religion declassification petition. The Loyalists are sure to become a strong force in local politics if they can keep on point and focus on their positive pro-American assimilationist message rather than the platforms the espouse that will be perceived as excessively bigoted by the American voter.
