  1. Actually, the police were trying to avoid any type of confrontation; just as folks wearing T-Shirts of the “opposition” have routinely been removed from Republican events (i.e. the GOP 2008 convention). After listening to all the conservative radio talk show hosts warning about “riots”, there was a heightened sensitivity to keeping the peace. As many of us are already aware (but seems some of you folks are not), if the police asks you to disperse, you better do so. It’s laughable how you see this singular incident as representative of the “fall of freedom” and linking it to the Obama win.

  2. If you can’t see the difference from being removed from a private function and being removed from a public street you’re a moron. Why would there be a confrontation anyway?

I attended an Israeli day parade in NYC and there were people carrying signs accusing Israel of genocide etc and they were allowed to stay. I’ve seen lefty protesters demonstrate outside recruiting offices and at veteran’s day parades and there was no violence.

The point of the video though is that a large crowd chanted “Obama” as a McCain supporter was led away for exercising his 1st Amendment rights. You see that as no big deal because you think it’s funny, I don’t.

The class/race warfare platform of the modern left has created an unbridgeable divide in this country, the video shows what that looks like.

  3. So justthefacts, just what did the man wearing the McCain-Palin t-shirt actually do wrong to get himself arrested? Saw the entire footage, heard him make no provocating statements against the pro-Obama crowd to warrent an arrest.

  4. What if it were the other way around of there being a man with an Obama-Biden t-shirt, with McCain-Palin supporters protesting believing that Obama bought the 2008 election via ACORN and other subversive groups?

Would you, justhtefacts complain about it if it were an incident such as what I describe if it were the other way around?
