Victimless Crime File: William H. Jones Tries to Kill Infant When Girlfriend Won’t Give Him Weed Money

Yes, really.

There are some aspects of the drug culture that will remain unchanged whether marijuana is legal or not. I advocate for neither side of that argument but I am always struck by how dishonest legalization proponents are when they claim legalization will magically make drug related crime disappear. It will stop drug dealing related crime but people who get high are people who get high, and many act like this:

A 3-month-old boy who was thrown to the floor inside a Brockton home last Thursday has been listed in stable condition, authorities said.

William H. Jones, 29, of Brockton, is being held without bail in connection with the attack. He is accused of grabbing the infant from the child’s mother and throwing the baby to the floor in a drunken rage.

Jones will appear in Brockton District Court for a dangerousness hearing on Friday, said Assistant District Attorney Bridget Norton Middleton, spokeswoman for Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz.

She said that Jones has been charged with:

Aggravated assault and battery on a child with injury, in connection with the attack on the baby. Assault and battery on a child, due to accusations that he choked the infant’s 11-year-old sister when she tried to intervene. Assault and battery on an adult, referring to the child’s mother.

The infant was listed in stable condition at a Boston hospital as of late Friday, and a more recent update on the condition was not available, the assistant district attorney said.

No information was available about whether the 11-year-old girl had been hospitalized, she said.

The attacks occurred inside a home at 419 Montello St. after the mother refused to give the suspect $10 to buy marijuana, the assistant district attorney said.

Rather than long winded defenses of pot and attacks on me, perhaps a legalization advocate can explain to me how pot being legal would have changed this outcome. Also, since some people seem to care so much I included a story where the person was also a drinker: ladies, if your old man drinks more than two beers a day (which is two more than I drink) something like this is likely in your future.

But more importantly, alcohol is legal and there are still alcohol related crimes and deaths. Is it possible that just because something is legal it isn’t good for you?

Very thoughtfully worded, Rob. Intelligent and so very much on the mark.

Not to reveal the sordid details I like to remain private about my life, but when my husband used to drink heavily, he scared the hel out of me on a daily basis. Did he drink every day? No. Maybe once a week. It was that once a week partying that created the monster just under the surface that would have reared its ugly head into physical reality if I hadn’t acted in time. He is not the same man today; although once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic. That is due 100% to my refusal to ignore the signs in front of me and refuse to let a man come before the safety of my child – or me.

Oh, and he is also a recovering marijuana addict. He never gets the urge for that again and recoils at the sheer mention of his nasty past under its influence. He tries to tell people he knows from back home what that stuff is doing to them and tries to get them to get off of it. Their response has always been, every single time, to tell him he is “high and mighty” and accuse him of thinking he’s “all that” when he used to do it, too – like he forgot his past, which he hasn’t, and is speaking down to them, which he would never do.

He was the same way. They all are, addicts. They don’t want to hear it, not even from those who finally escaped the hold it had on them. The best you can do is continue posting horrific stories like this as often as you can.

In the midst of the attacks you receive by those in denial of it all, there are many you do reach. You’re doing a great job here exposing this. Seems so few do but you’re a brilliant exception. Thank you.

ahahahhahahahaahahahahahah WOW guy, you must be SOOO perfect. are you KIDDING me?!!?!! I dont think if a normal man drank a 6 pack a day even, they would want to kill a kid. YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT.

  3. *Sig* The point of mentioning the drinking was that weed smokers are always claiming I don’t come down hard on drunks. And a person who drinks a six pack a day is an alcoholic, and alcoholics cannot be trusted with children.

But if I’m the idiot why don’t you having lazy pot-smokers getting a buzz babysitting your kids, which is what the story is about? When ever some gutterslut whose old man acts exactly like some criminal in a story they start screeching about how everyone is stupid but them. Prove it. Argue the point I make in the post, not the strawman that I claim I’m perfect.

    Although I of course am.
