A Short Defense of Paris Hilton (with Pictures)

paris-hilton-patriot-sexy.jpg

First “Hanoi” Jane Fonda attacked America’s favorite party girl (though now she’s at the age where we might call her a party woman), now political gadfly Ben Stein has come down hard on Paris Hilton for her humorous response to John McCain’s “Celebrity” ad, an ad in which I am told he used Hilton’s likeness sans permission.

Her response, if you haven’t seen it, is here:

Stein’s response to this bit of mild humor is hateful, petty and slightly misogynistic:

Now, this is perfect. First of all, Paris Hilton was a total nobody party girl in West Hollywood until she and her boyfriend made AND then “someone” SOLD a hard core video of Paris Hilton having sex. So basically, she got her start as a porn star. And she’s being trotted out by the media barons to smear John McCain, as brave and patriotic a man as lives in this nation. This little tramp, who isn’t even close to being pretty, is belittling a man who spent six years in brutal captivity for defending his country.

Paris, get this: in modern day America, we don’t mock people because of things they have done that are unavoidable and not in any way blameworthy. We don’t make fun of blacks for being black. We don’t make fun of women for having breasts. We don’t make fun of old people for being old. This is uncool from any source. It is downright disgusting coming from a porn star — and not a very good porn star at that (yes, I have seen the tape). And we especially don’t like being told how to vote by porn stars. If this is the best the Hollywood pals of Barack Obama can do, maybe John McCain has more of a shot than I thought he did.

O.K. let’s slow it down a second. While I agree that making fun of people because they’re old is unseemly at best, the jokes about his age came as part of a larger joke she was making at her own expense about how clueless she is. She’s insinuating that she doesn’t know who McCain is. It’s part of her public image.

Why this set Stein off more than when serious political analysts say basically the same thing is debatable. What isn’t is that his attack on Hilton’s “porn stardom,” which includes a critique of her performances, is much more unseemly and despicable than Paris Hilton calling an older gentleman, well, old. As a man in his late 30s who worked with teens and children until just recently, believe me when I tell you that a younger person calling you old may sting, but it simply doesn’t rise to the level of insult that Stein seems to think.

Look, unlike Stein I haven’t seen the entire Paris Hilton tape and I’m no expert of Hiltonology, but from what I’ve seen most of the antics she’s gotten criticized for, including what Stein thinks of as a sub-par porn career, were the direct result of her being a “party girl.” As an adult Stein knows that a “party girl” is a euphemism for someone who’s involved with the drinking/drugging culture that his rotten generation of miscreants introduced to children and still romanticize even in movies Stein has appeared in.

Hey, though I don’t like the term, I’m “straight edge” having given up “partying” almost a decade ago so maybe I’m more forgiving of what kinds of things people get up to when they’re not sober. But Stein’s dwelling on what a young, high Paris ended up doing, letting her boyfriend film her having sex, reeks of immaturity and a sordid cattiness which would be more at home in a high school cheerleading squad. Hilton’s antics should elicit more than a bit of sympathy from adults who can see, from the outside, that Hilton’s main problem is being surrounded by people who want her high, drunk and stupid so that she’ll continue making news. What Paris Hilton shouldn’t elicit from grown men is the desire to not only review her adult videos, but to review them badly as if to say she can’t even have sex right.

Worse than Stein’s thumb down review (I’d say thumbs but since he’s apparently watched the whole thing I assume he only had one available to make his displeasure with her performance public) of Paris Hilton’s homemade porn, however, is this comment that should be the take away quote of Stein’s entire piece:

This little tramp, who isn’t even close to being pretty, is belittling a man who spent six years in brutal captivity for defending his country.

Paris Hilton is an attractive woman by any standard, a little thin for my taste but still a beautiful woman. Observe:

It is here that we see Stein’s attack for what it is, the displaced anger of a bitter man toward political currents which run through Hollywood. Stein’s attacks on the left and the Nouveau Riche and the numerous other targets of his ire have sometime bordered on parodying the moonbat image the left is (rightfully) saddled with, but this is the mirror image of Bush Derangement Syndrome. Compare Stein’s attack on Hilton to the Liberal with raging B.D.S. from this Gay Patriot post and one could imagine that Stein and said liberal would be fast friends, except neither would be able to comport themselves like gentlemen in the presence of the other.

Were I to feel the need to be critical of Paris Hilton I might take on her involvement in the drug culture of Hollywood and how her celebrity helps mainstream and minimize drug abuse. I might go on to point out that Hilton’s treatment by other celebrities and the press, which is often poor indeed, is an example of the hypocritical class warfare politics of rich liberals who can’t stand to see people richer than themselves. What I would not do is call her an ugly slut which is what Stein’s article boils down to.

Then again unlike Stein (or McCain for that matter) I’m a Republican. Commissar Stein should look up what the party of Lincoln really stands for before he releases another screed attacking someone for following in the footsteps of his drug addled selfish generation.

Fake Indian Threatens To Go on Warpath as Feds Accuse Him of Defrauding Illegal Aliens in Citizenship Scheme

Not the world’s most famous fake indian, this one is longtime “pinkskin” (groups of Whites who pretend to be Indians, often with the blessing of New Age activists like Sunbear) and convicted sex offender David Weber who leads a unrecognized “tribe” called the Kaweah Indian Nation. The tribe told illegals that they could join for the fee of $600 dollars and that membership in the tribe would confer automatic legal U.S. citizenship. That last claim is of course bogus, even if they were a real tribe.

Which they’re not:

Questions about the legitimacy of Webber’s tribe and his Indian ancestry have dogged the tribe and its self-proclaimed chief since its beginnings.

In its 1984 ruling against federal acknowledgment, the Bureau of Indian Affairs found that the Kaweah Indian Nation Inc. did not exist before 1980 when it was formed under the leadership of Webber, a non-Indian. The BIA called it an urban Indian interest group from Porterville, Calif., that had no relation to the aboriginal Kaweah Indians.

The BIA finding documented the tribe’s contentious history, noting it was formed as a result of an internal dispute with a similar group formed by Webber in 1976, the United Lumbee Nation of North Carolina and America, Inc. It also noted his tumultuous relationship with Oatman, Ariz., residents and his conviction there on a sex-related charge.

Weber, who goes by the name Grand Chief Thunderbird IV, isn’t happy about the court cases and the media attention and has issued a warning to local authorities:

Webber has likened his tribe’s struggles to the Indian militants who occupied Wounded Knee, S.D., for 71 days in 1973.

While in Oatman, he sent letters to Nevada’s governor and the BIA, telling them, “Our people (Kaweahs) are mad and we are trying to hold our warriors back from causing trouble in Oatman and against the Mohave County Sheriff’s Department … before you know it the Mojaves and Hualapais will get into the act. It will make Wounded Knee look like and (sic) Sunday School picnic,” according to the BIA report.

That I’d like to see.

Mexican Military Holds Border Patrol Agent at Gunpoint

The report is from Local 2544 which is the Union representing Tuscon area Border patrol agents and support personal. They report that this is just the latest in a string of incidents in which Mexican soldiers have attacked or detained our Border Patrol agents:

A Tucson Sector Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint by the Mexican military last night south of Ajo. Mexican military personnel crossed over the border and pointed rifles at him. Backup units arrived from the Ajo Border Patrol station, and the Mexican military personnel eventually returned to Mexico. Unfortunately, this sort of behavior by Mexican military personnel has been going on for years. They are never held accountable, and the United States government will undoubtedly brush this off as another case of “Oh well, they didn’t know they were in the United States.” A few years ago the Mexican military went a step further and put a .50 calibre rifle round through the rear window of a Border Patrol agent’s patrol vehicle south of Ajo. Nothing was ever done. Nobody was ever held accountable. Particularly galling is the fact that the Mexican military often pulls these stunts in Humvees donated to them by the American taxpayers (although they were apparently on foot this time). We note that Border Patrol agents have historically driven worn-out, junk vehicles.

We will withhold further comment on this incident until we see how our leaders handle it. We don’t have much confidence in most of them.

It is fortunate that this incident didn’t end in a very ugly gunfight.

Victimless Crime File: Mary-Kate Olsen Demanding Police Immunity in Drug Probe?

mary-kate-olsen-boobs-upskirt-sex.jpg

Huh? The scarily thinner Olsen twin is demanding that police grant her immunity from any charges before she’ll talk to them about the tragic death of Heath Ledger:

Actress Mary-Kate Olsen has refused to answer questions from federal authorities investigating the accidental overdose that killed actor Heath Ledger until she receives immunity from prosecution, The New York Post reported.

The former child-star, famous for playing Michelle Tanner on “Full House,” was a close friend of Ledger’s and the first person called after her masseuse discovered Ledger’s body in his Soho apartment in January, The Post said.

But federal officials could force the actress to tell them details on the “Dark Knight” star’s drug use and events leading up to his death if they obtain a grand-jury subpoena.

One source told The Post that “everyone has been very eager to help, saying what a great guy Heath was, everyone except Mary-Kate, who has refused to speak.”

When Olsen got the call that Ledger — whose performance as the Joker in “The Dark Knight” has earned rave reviews — was dead, she reportedly failed to call authorities, and instead telephoned her body guards. According to The Post, they arrived just as paramedics got to the scene.

Ledger’s death was ruled an accidental drug overdose by medical examiners, caused by a combination of prescription drugs and the pain reliever OxyContin. According to The Post, the latter was likely received illegally.

Looks like America’s former sweetheart isn’t just using (as unconfirmed rumors claim) but maybe doing a little dealing on the side. Either that or she’s the kind of drug-addicted moron who hands out pain killers to her friends without a care in the world.

Is there a cover-up being orchestrated? The Post seems indicate that the feds think so and were not happy with the NYPD’s decision to let Olsen off the hook:

… And NYPD investigators closed their probe without interviewing Olsen because, they said, they got all the cooperation they needed from others. That decision, however, surprised some observers, considering Olsen’s role as a potential witness.

Instead of calling emergency responders after getting the call from her masseuse, Olsen telephoned her bodyguards in the Big Apple, telling them to race to Ledger’s Broome Street home, where they arrived just as paramedics got to the scene.

The US Drug Enforcement Administration, which opened an investigation to determine the sources of Ledger’s drugs, was not as sanguine as the NYPD about talking to the 4-foot-11, 90-pound Olsen.

The feds contacted her lawyer, Michael Miller, several times recently seeking her cooperation, but Miller has told the feds Olsen won’t be interviewed unless she gets immunity, exercising her constitutional rights.

According to sources, all of the drugs in Ledger’s body and discovered nearby in prescription bottles were legally obtained from two physicians – with the exception of OxyContin, a powerful painkiller.

Investigators “are trying to ID the source of the OxyContin,” a source said. “Did it come from a dealer, from a friend? If he had a bottle from a friend, was it taken by someone else before police responded? That is what is trying to be determined.”

The DEA probers were also aggressive with the NYPD, the sources said, and were forced to threaten to obtain a grand-jury subpoena before getting the department’s Ledger files.

An NYPD spokesman said the department never balked at handing over the files and did so after receiving a routine federal administrative subpoena.

Asked whether he asked for immunity for his client, Olsen’s lawyer said, “We are not going to comment on whether there is a criminal investigation,” and declined to speak further.

So it looks like Heath Ledger isn’t the only victim of the drug culture in this story. Olsen is clearly in some way involved in something which the feds will find out about. This is just another victimless crime though, right? Only Heath Ledger was hurt by his drug use, right? Not his child, not his family and certainly not Mary-Kate Olsen who’s quite possibly on her way to jail.

Though because she’s rich and a celebrity she won’t go to jail, but if it turns out she gave/sold the Oxycontin to Ledger that helped killed her friend she’ll have to live with that the rest of her life.

Animal Rights Terrorists Try to Burn Family Alive!

A family including two young children were forced to escape their burning house by climbing a ladder hung from a second story window after a group of animal rights activists firebombed the house. As I’ve said before, the success of Islamic terrorists in making the West bow to them and their demands has emboldened radicals of all stripes and now we see them using tactics more at home on the Gaza Strip than in an affluent California neighborhood.

From NBC11.com:

Santa Cruz police are looking for the people responsible for two firebomb attacks that targeted UC Santa Cruz researchers, NBC11 reported.

Investigators called the attacks acts of domestic terrorism and said they believe an animal rights group is responsible.

Emergency crews raced to a quiet Santa Cruz neighborhood Saturday morning after getting a report of a house fire.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the residence had been intentionally firebombed, police said. The home belonged to the family of a University of California, Santa Cruz, researcher, and the family was home at the time.

The address of the residence was listed in animal rights pamphlets found on Tuesday.

The victims, including two young children, escaped down a fire ladder from a second story window. Family members suffered injuries during the escape, police said.

“This is nothing less than a case of attempted homicide,” Santa Cruz Chief of Police Howard Skerry said. “It’s unconscionable that any reasonable person would consider this an acceptable tactic to get their point across. We are working hard with the other agencies and committing all available resources to follow all possible leads. We urge anyone with information to come forward.”

Two young children were almost killed, suffered injuries and we’re still to believe that the humanity hating eco-cult that the environmental movement has devolved into is just a harmless group of hippies? That they’re well meaning defenders of the earth?

These people are monsters, they wanted to kill an entire family by burning them to death. They waited for them to be home then set the house on fire. This is the kind of madness that is infecting our children on “liberal” college campuses.
