CNN Producer with Long History of Extremist Views Calls Knesset Member a Fascist

Objective media alert. Yesterday I caught this on Atlas who got it from Jihad Watch. The shrewish woman is former CNN producer Nidal Rafa who has some highly nuanced views of Israeli history:

Surprise! None of the journalists in attendance, including reporters for the New York Times, reported this woman’s freak out. I wonder why?

According to Tom Gross media CNN dropped this woman recently, but not until she poisoned Western understanding of the Middle East with her virulently anti-Zionist views:

Rafa is an Israeli Arab, born in the Haifa area, and is well-known around town not only as a CNN producer but also as an extremely vocal critic of Israel. For example, she engaged in another anti-Israeli outburst at an IPCRI (Israel/Palestine Center for Research and Information) event in Jerusalem in February.

On other occasions in 2007 and 2008, while employed by CNN, she has publicly called for Israel to cease to exist as a Jewish state. Several years ago, in an article on how Western reporters interview Palestinians about their views on terrorism, Israel’s leading liberal paper Ha’aretz noted that “Nidal Rafa [then working for another American TV network] decides what to translate [from Arabic for the American correspondent] and what to leave untranslated.”

“The person who finally decided what the news channel would broadcast from Bartaa was Nidal Rafa,” observed Ha’aretz.

In the past, Rafa has also worked on programs for the BBC and NPR.

And although CNN says they’re finished with her, she’s been passing herself off as affiliated with them:

I spoke with Kevin Flower, the Jerusalem Bureau chief for CNN, and he says Rafa’s contract with CNN has been discontinued though he declined to provide a specific reason.

Despite this, Rafa handed out her CNN business card to several people, including myself, after her outburst against Danny Ayalon, and said she was still working for CNN. Even if she no longer works there, the question is why CNN employed someone like this for at least the last two years?

When I spoke to Rafa it was clear that, like many (but by all means not all) Arab journalists working for CNN, Reuters, the Associated Press and other major Western news providers in the Middle East, she didn’t think there was any contradiction between working as a journalist for an international news outlet and holding extreme anti-Israeli views.

You mean getting news from stringers who sympathize with one side of a conflict doesn’t lead to objective journalism? Who would have seen that coming?

Victimless Crime File: Jennifer Lytton Starves Dogs, Uses Child as Ashtray

I know what you’re thinking. You know plenty of sober people who sit on their ass all day not feeding their dogs until one is a skeleton and can’t be bothered to find an ashtray so they use their child’s nose. Drug use couldn’t possibly be the reason for this sort of bizarre behavior right?

Jennifer Lytton of Statesville was arrested at her home early Tuesday afternoon, and in addition to the assault charge, may now family animal cruelty charges as well.

Hamby said the girl told a teacher at her school that her mother put a cigarette out on her nose, burning her nose.

The teacher noticed the mark on the girl’s nose and asked her how it happened, and that’s when she told about the cigarette.

Hamby began an investigation and took out the warrant on Lytton. The sheriff’s office warrant squad went out to look for Lytton Tuesday morning but she wasn’t located.

On Tuesday afternoon, Warrant Squad Deputy Chris Snow went back out to the residence, and knocked on the door, but didn’t get an answer. Neighbors told Snow he needed to check on the condition of some dogs in the back yard, Hamby said.

Snow checked on the dogs, and found one dog skeleton with a collar attached and two emaciated dogs in the yard, Hamby said. Snow called the Iredell County Animal Services and an officer came and took possession of the two dogs and the skeleton.

Hamby said a warrant was obtained to make sure no other animals were in the house, and after going into the house, found Lytton hiding in a closet. A bag of marijuana was also found, he said.

Lytton was arrested on the original assault warrant and then cited for the marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

She puts a cigarette out on her child’s nose, has a dog skeleton with the collar still on it in her backyard and was hiding in the closet when the police came around. Yeah, that’s not the drugs.

Before anyone claims sober people do the same thing I say, name three.

Remember when Naomi Wolf wrote a whole book dedicated to convincing 9/11 truthers that they should vote Democrat? She promoted it by running around giving soundbites that made people like Alex Jones spontaneously orgasm? Well where is Wolf now?

I’m not a conspiracy theorist but it is obvious that the hard left is trying to run a covert coup on our system. Where’s Wolf and all these other “freedom fighters” now that Obama is turning America into Cuba light?

Authorities in Missouri released a report on “right wing” terrorists that are plaguing our country. You know, because radical right wingers are a huge threat to America? How do you know if one of these “wingnuts” is a dangerous potential terrorist? Ron Paul bumper stickers.  Read the report yourself (in pdf format) and be chilled to the bone. Paulnuts are rightfully worried.

Despite the fact that AIG executives’ families are being threatened Barney Frank has said he won’t keep their names secret. We now have a Democrat congressman (who is himself at the center of the financial mess) threatening private citizens’ families with death as part of the political discourse. I’m not the only person who is worried.

ACORN has been exposed as a “mob-style protection racket” but the President will give them”a role” in the 2010 census. This is a ploy to protect Democrats who are losing popular support.

United States Army personnel were deployed in Alabama illegally during the recent tragic shooting spree. As of now no one in government will explain how this happened or even who ordered it.Think about that for a second. Army troops were deployed illegally and reporters cannot even find out who gave the orders.

NASA Scientist James Hanson has just gone on record saying the democratic process “isn’t working” to address climate change, so “direct action” is needed.

The government is moving to destroy small farms and leave all food production in the hands of a few corporations. They are also set to reward the complicit media for their propagandizing for Obama by allowing failing newspapers to break anti-trust laws.

Look, I’m not a believer in F.E.M.A. camps, the Illuminati, Mind Control etc. What I am a believer in is truth. A couple of years ago we let people like Naomi Wolf claim we on the right were fascists secretly taking over the country, that Bush would never step down from power, that America and Capitalism were evil. Now that Obama is in charge, where is Wolf? Where are the lefties who claimed Bush would misuse the military to stay in power and work to corrupt elections?

They knew Bush wouldn’t do that, that he would retire and let the next President come in. Then they stepped in and began doing exactly those things they pretended to be afraid of. If you’re a crazed conspiracy theorist, you’ve been had by Wolf and company, you helped legitimize a communist coup that is sweeping our country into Sovietism.

Saw this on Hot Air and since I posted this guy’s first one I thought I’d post this one too. Allahpundit makes a good point about the where populist anger like this leads, and French Revolution nightmares aside we all need to be concerned with the deepening political divide, nihilism and disenfranchisement of Americans.

I like the message, but I fear the messengers. All this talk of “Almighty Wrath” and calls for tax protests paint us in to a corner where eventually violence is the only way out, I’d like to have leaders of the New American Revolution who at least try to avoid conflict first. But we live in interesting times:

Two Phoenix Arizona Planned Parenthood Clinics Caught on Tape Covering Up Statutory Rape!

Another day, another expose of the depraved culture of rape enabling Planned Parenthood staffers by Live Action Films. Personally I’m a moderate pro-choicer (late term abortions are barbaric) but I’m a hard-liner when it comes to child advocacy and the thought of these disgusting people covering up for child predators makes me sick. Evey one of these cretin should be put in jail for accessory to rape and their files need to be turned over to the police. Liberals claim if we crack down on them girls will suffer, but isn’t being exploited by an adult suffering?
