A Pogrom Came to Brooklyn

For the second time in less than a week a Brooklyn Synagogue was attacked by anti-Semites. It should surprise no one that New York, a hot bed of leftism, would be the first place the new anti-Jewish pogroms would start.

First a knife wielding man attacked a Synagogue during evening services Saturday, throwing soda cans at worshipers and assaulting one of the Jews inside.

Just days later an Arab Muslim attacked another Synagogue, this time making “Jihad-type threats” to the terrified congregation.

As I’ve blogged before, Jews have been attacked for some time now, when groups like Rise Up began organizing pogroms against Jews in America to show their displeasure with Israel.

But Brooklyn is the home to thousands of Jews (most leftists) who didn’t see this coming. The accelerating pace of these high profile attacks makes me nervous. Like I said, you can crash at my house when you need to Jews.

MS-13 Threatening New York Politician

For those of you who think waving a magic wand (legalizing pot) will make violent drug gangs disappear (it isn’t as if there aren’t other drugs to sell) because they are purely driven by the desire to push drugs and have no other agenda I present this story from New York:

UTNAM LAKE – State Assemblyman Greg Ball, R-Patterson, said this afternoon that he won’t be intimidated because someone dumped a dead goat outside his Putnam Lake home Wednesday night.

State police are investigating but declined to release much information, citing the open case.

“Whether this crime was perpetrated by gang members, or some sick local individual, I will not be cowed by threats, and I condemn this kind of heinous violent behavior towards animals,” Ball said. “I want my constituents to know that I will continue my efforts to stand up every day for justice, and the people of the Hudson Valley.”

A note written on cardboard in a crude Spanish was tied around the goat’s neck and made a vulgar reference to Ball. It also said viva MS-13, an apparent reference to Mara Salvatrucha, a notorious Central American gang that some of Ball’s political allies have said operates in Brewster although police have never found credible evidence of its presence.

“It looked as though the animal had been trapped or dragged,” Ball said.

Meanwhile, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said today that it will provide increased personal security for Ball in the wake of the incident, although it declined to say how.

“When such a menacing act is directed against a government official, it may be perceived as an effort to chill or even thwart the workings of government by threat of violence; in such a case, it may be said that all of society is being victimized by the deed,” Capt. William McNamara said in an e-mail today.

MS-13 is growing in New York and New Jersey and have a history of destabilizing areas they take root in. MS-13 differs from the mafia in that the mob wanted society to continue as it did, while MS-13 seeks to transform its territory into fiefdoms under complete control of the gang. MS-13 was formed in part by the alliance of a violent gang with Marxist trained guerrillas in El Salvador and they have never left the third-world war-zone mentality behind.

Now would be a good time to move out of New York State.

Founding Member of Illinois Minutemen Won Republican Primary for 5th District

One would think a story with that headline would be red meat for the left as they could easily use the compliant media to paint Republican Rosanna Pulido as another “fascist” Republican to rally against, but as even local media have pointed out most of the media have kept pretty mum on her.

What gives?

She touches on the truth of the matter. “Reagan” Democrats are staring the Democrat Party’s biggest betrayal of them in the face in the form of the Stimulus and were already leaning right on issues like illegal immigration. District 5 is a “bitter gun clinger” kind of place and the more face time Pulido gets the more likely it is that fed up Conservative Democrats and Independents get flipped to the GOP. So the Democrats and their media proxies are left with trying to keep her out of sight and hopefully out of mind until the election.

While I often point out I’m a Republican not a Conservative and I don’t agree with Pulido on all issues, I believe in the big tent being big enough for everyone who loves America  and fully endorse and support Pulido in her run for office. Help her out by spreading the word and contribute if you can.

Car Bomb in Memphis?

Fox is reporting that the A.T.F. is investigating an explosion in Memphis outside of a funeral home that may be linked to a similar incident last month in Arkansas.

From Fox13:

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Fire Department and Bomb Squad are on the scene of a car explosion at 5545 Murray Road near Oakhaven and the Memorial Funeral Home in East Memphis.

The incident happened just before noon Thursday, when a gold Nissan Maxima exploded in a parking lot. The condition of the female owner of the car is not known, but has been transported to The Med for injuries sustained from the explosion.

Memphis Police Director Larry Godwin says that they are working closely with the FBI & ATF officers, and that the scene is safely secured. Godwin stated that they plan to deploy a bomb robot to ensure that no other explosive devices are in the area. A bomb-sniffing dog will comb the area as a final precaution.

The car owner’s husband has been detained by police as a person of interest in this incident.
