China Central Bank Outlines Plan to Dump Dollar

The end:

Hu Xiaolian, deputy governor at the Chinese central bank, has released a paper which suggests it’s soon time for China to peg the yuan to a basket of foreign currencies, rather than the U.S. dollar alone.

This especially makes sense for China given that, going forward, the U.S. might not the voracious consumer it once was. Thus tying itself at the hip to the dollar might not be as useful as it was before.

Some Good Food Storage Information

These videos show that even improperly stored food from the 80s and 90s stayed good if kept in reasonable conditions. Something the budget conscious prepper who doesn’t have access to all the materials people claim you need should keep in mind.

Part 1 starts slow but still is worth watching:

Part 2 is the nitty gritty. Notice that many of the cans they open have not been properly stored:

The food in the buckets showed some degradation but were still edible. The cans though were far superior, lasting even when abused. So this is food for thought for preppers who can’t afford all the “necessities” of food storage.
