Obama’s Spineless Cult of the Mystics of Muscle

As the riots and killing in the Middle East of Americans continue supposedly sparked by an anti-Muslim movie, Obama and his spineless cabal continue to kowtow to the raiders and killers. Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs as usual has some of the best coverage. In a recent post, she exposes our “Sharia President” whose staff proclaims that the riots are directed at the film, not the US or the Obama administration.

Apparently, we are supposed to believe that these peace-loving Muslims were simply sent over the edge by a movie and would never, ever think of hurting Americans otherwise.  The irony of the murderous reaction to this film that depicts some Muslims as murderous seems to escape Obama’s mouthpieces.  The left has had the attitude that if we were just nicer to radicals they will love us. Effigies are being burned of Obama. Isn’t he supposed to be Mr. Nice Guy? Isn’t he the one who has bowed down to Islam? It doesn’t matter. They hate us and our culture. It doesn’t matter whether we have a spineless leftist in the white house or a Republican.

I came across this passage in Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged which is so apropos that I wanted to share. For those who haven’t read the book, the reference of mystics of muscle broadly relates to the leftists who want to control the products of labor. And Europe’s People’s States is the Communist incarnation of Europe that these mystics of muscle helped create.  You could substitute these terms easily with the current left and Islam.

I know Rand gets under the skin of some people, the left and the religious right especially.  But love her or hate her, this passage as well as many events and concepts in Atlas Shrugged were eerily predictive of what we are faced with today. And the book was published over 50 years ago. Rand experienced Bolshevism first hand in her native Russia. She loved the US and this book was her warning of what she believed this country was headed for if it stayed on the track it was going. Bold emphasis is mine.

“You, who are half-rational, half-coward have been playing a con game with reality, but the victim you have conned is yourself. When men reduce their virtues to the approximate, then evil acquires the force of an absolute, when loyalty to an unyielding purpose is dropped by the virtuous, it’s picked up by the scoundrels—and you get the indecent spectacle of cringing, bargaining, traitorous good and a self-righteously uncompromising evil. As you surrendered to the mystics of muscle when they told you that ignorance consists of claiming knowledge, so now you surrender to them when they shriek that immorality consists of pronouncing moral judgment. When they yell that it is selfish to be certain that you are right, you hasten to assure them that you are certain of nothing.  When they shout that it is immoral to stand on your convictions, you assure them that you have no convictions whatsoever.

When the thugs of Europe’s People’s States snarl that you are guilty of intolerance, because you don’t treat your desire to live and their desire to kill you as a difference of opinion—you cringe and hasten to assure them that you are not intolerant of any horror. When some barefoot bum in some pesthole of Asia yells at you: How dare you be rich—you apologize and beg him to be patient and promise him you’ll give it all away.

You have reached the blind alley of the treason you committed when you agreed that you had no right to exist. Once you believed it was ‘only a compromise’: you conceded it was evil to live for yourself, but moral to live for the sake of your children. Then you conceded that it was selfish to live for your children, but moral to live for your community. Then you conceded that it was selfish to live for your community, but moral to live for your country. Now, you are letting this greatest of countries be devoured by any scum from any corner of the earth, while you concede that it is selfish to live for your country and that your moral duty is to live for the globe. A man who has no right to life, has no right to values and will not keep them.”

In the world of Rand’s novel, those occupying the other side of the coin of the mystics of muscle are the mystics of spirit who are the religious leaders that Rand saw as just as detrimental to the mind of man as the leftists. They ask man to sacrifice his reason and pursuit of happiness to the cult of religious personality for some promise of happiness in the afterlife. Rand was an atheist and her lumping together of the two “mystics” is one reason her philosophy irks ultra religionists.

The Islamic mystics of spirit and muscle are one. Those killing and burning flags don’t give a damn about our first amendment. They don’t even want to institute something similar for their own people. But we do have the right of freedom of religion and freedom from religion in this country. Obama and his spineless cult of mealy-mouthed, mystics of muscle jeopardize this with their half-assed lip service to the first amendment more so than any far right evangelist.

When our Secretary of State even hints that a filmmaker might be responsible for the killing of American citizens by religious extremists (and come to find out allegedly hiding her own culpability), then more than our freedom of religion is jeopardized. These mystics of muscle represent “this greatest of countries” to the world as a country of Randian cringers, compromisers, apologizers and beggers who have no values left to live for. And that is what evil has been waiting for.

The Aurora Shooting and the Loss of Personal Responsibility

As someone who posts at Red Alerts on gun rights and laws, it seems appropriate that I would have something to say after the tragic event in Aurora. But I’m not going to get on a soapbox about the 2nd amendment. We as a culture always have the two-sided argument after killing sprees and we will continue to do so. Pro-gun rights people aren’t going to convince the anti-gun crowd of facts.

I did, however, want to address a couple of issues. Unfortunately, ABC came out immediately after the shooting and stated that the shooter was a tea partier.  They had the wrong guy. This turned out to be bogus information that could have been easily researched by a true journalist in a short period of time.

I’m saddened by the quickness with which the media jumped to politicize this horror. One of the underlying issues that struck me is how our culture has so embraced the blame game, not just blaming gun laws or political affiliation but anything that would remove responsibility from the evil individual who perpetrates such a horrific act.

I’m not a lawyer or psychiatrist but I hope that he doesn’t get to use the crazy defense
even though words like whacko, psycho and nutjob are easily applied to James Holmes. This took forethought and planning. That must mean something in the eyes of the
law. And it’s difficult not to get political because I believe this blame culture we’re
engulfed in is directly a result of liberal victimhood programming.

This individual made the choice to murder. The responsibility is his alone. Every time the
media jumps to assume that some outside force caused him to make these choices, it feeds the lie that the individual isn’t in control of his life. Of course many people have hard lives and some repeat the violence they grew up with.

But this message shouldn’t be the norm and there was a time when it wasn’t. We went from being too stiff and never wanting to make allowances to blaming someone or something else for every dark aspect of our lives. We’ve lost the balance between individual responsibility and societal nurturing. I wonder if by making the shooter a victim of
society instead of his own choices that the victims are that much easier to make faceless,
nameless and therefore forgotten.  And that’s just one step closer to making us all the dependent drones the left wants us to be.

The shooter as per usual is getting most of the press by the MSM. But others are
challenging this. Dave Swindle of P.J. Media has a piece up honoring the victims.  Twitchy is keeping up with Twitter including reporting that the mother of one of the victims, Jessica Redfield, wished that her daughter’s name would trend above the
shooter.

I hope rather than believe that their senseless deaths won’t continue to be made a media
spectacle. My thoughts and prayers go out to those left behind.

Michigan Republican Males Hate Vaginas!

I assure you they don’t. But apparently, I don’t know that there’s a war on women, at least not the one liberals want me to believe is being waged. Liberal blogs and news outlets are all abuzz with the story that a Democrat representative from Michigan, Lisa Brown, was silenced from speaking the day after mentioning the word “vagina” on the House floor on June 13.  As usual, the truth is quite different from what pseudo-feminists would have you believe.

During a debate on House Bill 5711, which among other things would ban abortions after 20 weeks with some exceptions for the mother’s life, Rep. Brown spoke her mind and at the end of her speech said, ““I’m flattered you’re all so concerned about my vagina. But no means no.” Immediately after, the Speaker of the House, Republican Jase Bolger said, “Members, I do ask that you respect the decorum of the house” and quite politely I might add.

Her remark was idiotic, snarky, rude and childish and today she was not allowed to speak
publicly before the House. She’s crying victim now for being Jewish and having a vagina or
both. You can see in the video that there was no need for her comment and what her tone was.  It’s neither respectful of her peers or for the office she holds.

Another representative, Barb Byrum, was given the same treatment and gaveled down after trying to introduce an amendment that would require proof that a man’s life is in danger before he could have a vasectomy.  I thought this was an abortion debate tactic people grew out of in junior high school. I’m pro-choice and even I think this is embarrassingly juvenile.  Preventing pregnancy and aborting a fetus after 20 weeks are two different issues. Focus ladies.

Yes, pro-choice conservatives do exist.  We don’t all hang on Rush Limbaugh’s every word.  I believe Republicans intruding into this area is just as much an example of big government as is the Democrats who want taxpayers to fund abortion. I would be generally sympathetic to the arguments Ms. Brown makes, especially her argument that using religious beliefs as an excuse to pass anti-abortion legislation is ridiculous.  But neither her or her colleague’s behavior is hardly conducive to bringing moderates together on this issue.

Liberals are once again trying to rally women around this issue with cries about the war on
women, Republicans being prudes and anti free speech. This isn’t a free speech issue but
one of the Speaker trying to remind legislators that disrespect isn’t necessary to get your
point across.

The comments I’ve seen on the news reports from liberals hardly make me think that they’re pro woman. As per usual, they’re pro liberal woman and every other woman is a
knuckle-dragging, penis worshipping, breeding hick.

The problem is this may work to fire up some independent voters before the election.
Democrats are good at riling up any inherent feelings of victimhood in voters, even those on the fence.  However, the meme that “Republicans are afraid of vaginas” isn’t a new one, so I’m hopeful that pundits who are better wordsmiths than me will use this event in our favor.

Oh, and the correct term for where a fetus develops is the uterus, a term that was used in the sex ed class I wasn’t banned from going to by my conservative parents and by my Christian Republican mother in speaking frankly to me about childbirth.

Obama Administration Funding Middle East Christian Extermination

Hillery Clinton, representing the U.S. State Department, was at a “Friends of the Syrian People” summit held in the increasingly Islamist Turkey. At that conference the “Syrian Resistance” was promised money, logistical support and was implicitly promised weapons to overthrow the Baathist regime. Russia, who has sided with the Syrian government, has condemned the move saying it would lead to years of bloodshed.

But there is another problem with people claiming to be friends to the Syrian people arming Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda backed mercenaries in yet another Arab state. The atrocities these animals are committing against minorities, specifically Christians.

Here’s a report on the ongoing violence in Homs by AINA:

Syrian President Basher Assad isn’t the only target of Syrian rebels as Syria’s Orthodox Christian Church reports “ongoing ethnic cleansing of Christians” by al-Qaeda-linked Islamist militant groups in the embattled Syrian city of Homs.

The report from the Vatican news agency Fides says Brigade Faruq, which has links with elements of al-Qaeda in Iraq and Islamist mercenaries from Libya, has expelled 90 percent of Christians living in Homs, nearly 50,000 people.

Reportedly, the armed Islamists went door to door in the Christian neighborhoods of Hamidiya and Bustan al-Diwan informing the homeowners that if they did not leave immediately they would be shot. Then pictures of their corpses would be taken and sent to al-Jazeera, along with the message that the Syrian government had killed them.

As such, the men, women and children — denied by the Islamists from taking any of their belongings — were forced to flee to mountain villages 30 miles outside of Homs, their homes occupied by the militants who claimed the owners’ possessions as “war-booty from the Christians.”

According to reports by Barnabas Aid, a relief agency assisting Syrian Christians, the forced Christian exodus from Homs has been ongoing since the beginning of February when armed Islamists murdered more than 200 Christians, “including entire families with young children.”

At that time a representative of Barnabas Aid pleaded, “Christians are being forced to flee the city to the safety of government-controlled areas. Muslim rebel fighters and their families are taking over their homes.”

Unfortunately, Islamist attacks against Syria’s Christian community, including kidnappings and murder, have occurred almost from the onset of the popular uprising against the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad which began in March 2011.

In other words we’re funding a Jihad which is being fought like a Jihad, with the rapes, theft and looting Muslim commanders use as rewards for their soldiers being commonplace. You’ll also notice that Al-Jazerra and other media are complicit in the Jihad, allowing themselves to be used by these scum in extortion schemes.

The Christian Post has more, including pointing out that Assad is of a Shiite off-shoot (the Alewites) who themselves are often persecuted by Sunni Muslims, so the autocratic government of Syria did protect religious minorities. In fact much of Assad’s brutality has been aimed at keeping Sunni Muslims from taking over the country and massacring the minorities within.

Our government is helping the Sunni Muslims overthrow the government and has no plans to protect the minorities within. We are in fact providing promises of weapons to Al-Qaeda linked paramilitaries. Coincidentally the Muslim Brotherhood is meeting with Obama now. In the White House. After running pogroms in Egypt and a Black genocide in Libya.

Understand what is going on here. The Obama administration is funding and arming Wahhabi mercenaries to explicitly topple secular governments and persecute religious minorities. The Clinton administration did thee same in Bosnia. What exactly is the payoff for a Muslim Brotherhood take over of the Middle East besides a second Holocaust and the extermination of Christian, Druze, and other religious minorities? Egypt will become a Sharia state and no doubt the nucleus of a new Caliphate. That Caliphate will make war on the world.

So why are we supporting this? What promises is Obama making even now to the Muslim Brotherhood? Why are we abandoning centuries old American principles of religious freedom to support militant theocracy? Maybe because Leftists and Islamists will stand together to overthrow the old world order to install a new one? Maybe when OWS needs support to overthrow our cities these same mercenaries will be imported here?

If I were a Christian I would be reading Revelations now.

Race Controversy Over Michigan Republican’s Superbowl Ad

US Senate candidate, Pete Hoekstra, is under fire for an ad that appeared during Superbowl Sunday.  His opponent is Democrat incumbent Debbie Stabenow, often criticized for her spend-it-all mentality.

Critics call the ad racist towards the Chinese as it features a supposed Chinese woman, though obviously an Asian American, against a stereotypical backdrop of a rice field using broken English.  She’s thanking Debbie Spenditnow (Stabenow – Spenditnow, get it?  yeah, I think it’s a reach too) for benefiting the Chinese economy by spending American money.

Is it racist?  I don’t know.  Personally, I think it’s in poor taste along with the tacky website replete with Chinese flags, red dragons and such.  Detroit black ministers are predictably crying racist being completely innocent of any sort of race baiting themselves.

Being a cynic, I think it’ll be just another season of idiotic attack ads.  But this tactic may work for Hoekstra.  Debbie Spenditnow is a phrase now embedded in Michigander’s minds.  Unfortunately, so is the image of another tacky while male Republican.
