North Carolina AG Shocked to Find Sex Offenders on MySpace
Who would have thought that a glorified electronic kiosk might attracted perverts once teen girls started posting their pictures and sexual desires there?
Attorney General Roy Cooper announced Tuesday morning that more than 2,100 sex offenders from North Carolina were found on the social networking website MySpace.
Cooper subpoenaed MySpace, making the website turn over the names, IP addresses and emails of 2,116 convicted sex offenders in the state of North Carolina. Cooper plans to share the information with local law enforcement.
Cooper has now requested similar information from Facebook.
“It’s no secret that child predators are on these web sites,†Cooper said in a written statement. “Turning over information about these predators to law enforcement helps, but MySpace, Facebook and other social networks need to do much more to protect kids online.â€
As opposed to parents, teachers and, oh, let’s say an Attorney General. Maye if adults started raising their children right perverts wouldn’t be so attracted to MySpace where teen girls post pictures of themselves drunk and in various states of undress. But why should parents take responsibility for their own children’s safety?

Personally if I was the AG I would not have announced this because now 2,116 probation violating sex offenders could be going into hiding. You’d think it would make sense to hold off any announcements until arrests are made. In my opinion Mr. Cooper is more of a PR seeking bureaucrat than he is an Attorney General. This isn’t his first rodeo when it comes to MySpace. In the past AG Cooper has made what I consider to be some ridiculous demands from MySpace in the name of the children. And like most Attorneys General not once does he call on parents to be more vigilant. That’s because they’re voters and MySpace is just a faceless website.
Indeed. All that being said, I finally started a MySpace for my blogs, which Trench Reynolds has studiously ignored. I’ve already had four dudes ask me to meet them, so parents, keep your kids off the Internet.
Racist Sheridan Folger Makes the Conservative vs Republican Distinction Clear
I admit that I will basically follow anyone on Twitter who follows me first, which is how I came to follow Sheridan Folger of the site Let’s Get This Right. After following him i promptly forgot about him, as I simply scroll through any Tweets I receive on Twitterfox to see if the titles catch my interest.
Early this morning Sheridan had a Tweet that definitely caught my eye. It was entitled Inner City Congo Blog and though I was heading to bed after being up all night working on a project I just knew I should check it out before it was lost in a sea of Tweets and I wasn’t disappointed.
Here’s what Folger, who describes himself as “Father,Veteran,Conservative, Limited Gov’t, Free markets, national security, fiscal & social conservative,traditional values, Republican, pro-life” on his Twitter page thinks is not only acceptable to allow on his Ning site supposedly dedicated to Republican values but thought it was so awesome he wanted all of his Twitter followers to see:
If you don’t want to waste time with the “Reverend Circa 53’s” blog I’ll give you some highlights.
The good Reverend on the State Sovereignty Movement:
 “It’s a solution to battle the negative negro influence on the country and it’s cities, and crime and disease and poverty”
He goes on:
“The point of this blog will be to enlighten and inform the people that are having their lives rearranged because of inner city slum/ghetto dwelling negoes”
Perhaps Sheridan should read up on Republican history because he is not a Republican.The Republican Party has always held the classical liberal values of individual rights, rule of law and protection of the individual from the tyranny of the majority. Conservative is a catch all phrase that includes everything from Republicans to seditious racists like Sheridan Folger and his friend/alter ego Reverend Circa 53 who couldn’t be bothered to care about the rights of individuals as they squeal indignant at the rest of us for not being troglodytes.
I’m not one for purges, but get out of my party Folger, and take your cretin with you.
A Pogrom Came to Brooklyn
For the second time in less than a week a Brooklyn Synagogue was attacked by anti-Semites. It should surprise no one that New York, a hot bed of leftism, would be the first place the new anti-Jewish pogroms would start.
First a knife wielding man attacked a Synagogue during evening services Saturday, throwing soda cans at worshipers and assaulting one of the Jews inside.
Just days later an Arab Muslim attacked another Synagogue, this time making “Jihad-type threats” to the terrified congregation.
As I’ve blogged before, Jews have been attacked for some time now, when groups like Rise Up began organizing pogroms against Jews in America to show their displeasure with Israel.
But Brooklyn is the home to thousands of Jews (most leftists) who didn’t see this coming. The accelerating pace of these high profile attacks makes me nervous. Like I said, you can crash at my house when you need to Jews.
Trina Rae Carroll Wants Me to Know She Isn’t a Scumbag or Something
I blogged about Trina Rae Carroll about a year ago. She showed up in a hospital with a sick two-year-old who was screaming in agony and complaining of stomach pains. Doctors determined the boy was dosed with Meth. Trina was arrested and crime bloggery ensued.
Trina thinks I was a little too hard on her, according to the email she (or a Trina supporting liar, you can never discount that) shot over a few hours ago:
I think you should get all your facts straight before you go around calling
people scumbags. It was his father who had the drugs and I’m the parent who had
enough sense to take my son to the hospital. By the way, my son is doing great
and will get my custody back on the 16th. I guess the dad had some reason to
run off cause they were never able to locate him. But here I am. I’m not a
coward or a scumbag.
I disagree. Even if this version of the story was true a woman who allows a meth user to be alone with her baby is a scumbag, and if she never left the kid alone with the father then she saw him flinging enough Meth around the kid to poison him, that also makes her a scumbag.
You know what wouldn’t make you a scumbag Trina? Getting clean, admitting that your actions hurt others, and getting your son out of the lifestyle that you lead, which exposes him to meth.
I’m glad the kid is alright, but if you get custody and haven’t made a change in your life how long until he’s in the hospital again?
