It’s like something out of Red Dawn:
A parent in the Clark County School District of Las Vegas, Henderson area reported January 27th that his son, who is in 1st grade, came home yesterday saying that he didn’t want to go back to school anymore.
When asked why, the boy said that during the Pledge of Allegiance the teacher put up a large image of Obama next to the flag.
Thinking that the boy might be exaggerating, the man asked his son if he was sure, and suggested that by “large” he might mean an 8×10 photo of the president. The boy apparently said “No, it is a large picture of Obama and when we are done, the teacher turns off the image.”
The same thing was not done for President Bush last year.
After investigating this morning, the other parent reported that what the boy said was true.
At least three of the five classrooms have an overhead projector and as the children stand to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, the teacher turns on the classroom overhead and a full body image of Obama, with six U.S. flags behind him, comes up about 4 feet away from the flag that hangs on the wall. The screen is apparently around five feet by six feet.
In the image, President Obama appears to be staring straight out with no facial expression, just a serious look. All of the kids in each class faced the President, instead of the flag that hangs in the corner.

Clarence Dias is the President of the influential International Center for Law in Development and is chair of the board of a group called Human Rights Internet. He is a member of the Human Rights Watch Asia Advisory Committee and according to one bio even worked with Unicef.
In the late 1990s Dias wrote a paper critical of applying Western standards of human rights universally which is hosted by the Carnegie Council to this day. In it he makes this statement:
This approach not only challenges the current human rights regime’s tendency to view rights as bestowed and guaranteed by the state and available as protection against state actors, but it reveals other shortcomings in the dominant Western, liberal human rights paradigm. These shortcomings, as pointed out by critics in Asia and elsewhere, include: a preoccupation with individuals as bearers of a limited set of civil and political rights; excessive legalism; a somewhat adversarial nature; failure to incorporate non-Western bases for human rights; a disregard for notions of duty and collective rights; and the relegation of economic, social, and cultural rights to a secondary status.
It should surprise no one then that a person on record as saying we civilized people are “pre-occupied” with the idea of individuals having rights separate from the group from which they come would be a filthy pervert:
A high-ranking human rights worker with ties to the United Nations was nabbed at Kennedy Airport Tuesday with kiddie porn in his suitcase, officials said.
Clarence Dias, 65, president of the International Center for Law in Development, whose offices are located at the UN, had the smut in his carry-on bag as he passed through security on his way to a flight bound for Bangkok, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.
Transportation Security Administration officials doing a random bag check around 8:20a.m. allegedly found a DVD whose cover featured an apparently underage nude boy and an adult male in Dias’ handbag, prosecutors said.
The video’s title – “Winner Pub Pattaya” – apparently refers to a beach resort in Thailand, authorities said. There were also other lewd photographs in the bag, authorities said.
Dias – who holds a doctorate in law from Bombay University and Cornell Law School and has taught at Boston College of Law – claimed the porn was for research, authorities said.
“He admitted it was his – but tried to play it off. He said he was doing research on how to better make sure kids’ rights were not abused,” a police source said. “Yeah, sure. It’s always research.”
Calls to Dias’ office went straight to voicemail Tuesday.
The humanitarian group calls itself “a Third World NGO [nongovernmental organization] concerned about human rights in the development process.”
This is the latest sex scandal to roil the UN.
The agency came under fire in 2002 for turning a blind eye to wide-scale sexual abuse of West African refugee children by its own aid workers and peacekeepers.
UN workers from nine countries – including Britain and India – were accused of sexually exploiting children in dozens of refugee camps in war-torn Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia, the internal report found.
This sheds even more light on the nonchalant attitude the U.N. and related NGOs have taken when “peacekeepers” are caught molesting children.

In the argument for assimilationist policies regarding immigration there can be no more poignant evidence of the superiority of American culture than how many cultures treat women. Multiculturalism pretends that all cultures are equal, which in practice means we must accept this sort of depravity on our own soil:
A California man is under arrest for allegedly trying to sell his 14-year-old daughter into marriage for 100 cases of beer and other items. Police say 36-year-old Marcelino De Jesus Martinez arranged for his daughter to marry an 18-year-old man for several cases of Corona beer, 50 cases of Negra Modelo, six bottles of wine, fifty cases of soft drinks and 50 cases of Gatorade. Several cases of meat were also promised.
The daughter moved in with the man, but the father never received payment so he called police. Police brought the daughter home along with a surprise for the father; an arrest warrant. De Jesus Martinez and the 18-year-old are both in jail charged with felonies. The father is charged with receiving money for causing person to cohabitate and the other man is charged with statutory rape.
Police say arranged marriages are common in many cultures and are not against the law as long as both people are over the legal age.
The father didn’t know what he was doing was illegal, mainly because we kid glove immigrants and allow them to ghettoize themselves instead of trying to assimilate them into American culture, which includes the knowledge that a little girl is worth more than a months worth of beer.
But I guess thinking that makes me a racist.

He also repeated the Islamist generated provably false smear that Gaza is a “concentration camp” run by Israelis. Here’s a transcript from Newsbusters:

SHUSTER: Concentration camp? Doesn’t that diminish the significance of the real concentration camps?

I’m talking about what the British had in concentration camps in South Africa, and what the Spanish had in Cuba, and what others have had where they bring all these people, lock ’em in there, and treat them with great cruelty, and a humanitarian disaster, despite what Tzipi Livni says.
So Buchanan thinks( like a typical lefty) that Israel should wait until Hamas develops the ability to kill mass numbers of Jews before responding.
And back pedaling aside, why would a supposedly smart man (though having read his work I find reports of his intelligence greatly exaggerated) use such loaded language concerning Israeli actions? Where would he get such an idea I wonder?
This is not Pat’s first foray into anti-Semitism. Nor is it the first time he’s sided with enemies of freedom and decency. Pat buchanan isn’t a “Conservative,” he’s a Confederate, desperately seeking allies to overthrow our Republic. MSNBC is happy to let this Moby make the rest of us look like cartoon characters, and it’s time that we cut this dead weight lose and send a message once and for all that the Right stands with Israel, and against Islamic Imperialism.
