LA Strip Club Gives to Charity … And People Complain?

So I read a story about a strip club in LA called Jet Strip Gentleman’s Club that gave $1,200 on a little league team that desperately needed cash, and in the article it’s mentioned that the team is still in need of cash. The reaction in the comments was less than supportive consisting mainly of sanctimonious finger wagging and stupid jokes.

Nowhere have I seen any of these people complaining about this offer to match the donation or even give anything. Even so-called conservatives who believe that charitable giving is the ideal in a free society as opposed to welfare and government hand outs would rather complain about stripping than follow the lead of this club and help these kids out. I understand many people have moral issues with clubs like this but it is legal. I don’t drink and think it’s a filthy habit but I don’t opine about beer companies sponsoring community sports teams.

I would especially keep my mouth shut about it if I didn’t give to charity. Instead of complaining about how this club made their money I suggest donating your own money to a worthy cause – like this little league team that will close down if they don’t get any. I know doesn’t sound like it’ll be  as satisfying as complaining about other people who are doing something worth while but give it a try. You might be surprised by how much more satisfying it is to do a good deed than try to shame others for their supposed moral short comings.

Let me be very un-PC here and point out something all men used to know. Men don’t complain about women working these jobs unless the women are being forced or you’re willing to pay their bills and men don’t let these same women – who often are in a bad situation – pick up their slack in the community. How about you stop making T&A jokes and start taking care of your community. Maybe then there wouldn’t be a little league desperate for money and there probably would be people who thought the only way they could make a good living was flashing you.

Blackwater Changes Name Again

This time to Academi. They had changed their name to Xe (?) a while ago because the left was hassling them.

For some of you this might be a concern, I frankly don’t really care about mercs. They’ve been around a long time. The fact that the “professional adventurer” has been replaced by the “Private Contractor” is a sad footnote to that profession – indication of a decline of manliness as we lose legendary Soldiers of Fortune like Mike Hoare to the growing demand for glorified security guards with accounting experience but that’s really a philosophical issue many of you aren’t interested in.

From WSJ:

Despite new ownership, a new board and new management, security contractor Xe Services LLC could never shake a troublesome nickname: the company formerly known as Blackwater.

Now, it’s the company formerly known as Xe.

On Monday, Virginia-based Xe plans to unveil a new name—Academi—and new logo. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Ted Wright, president and chief executive, said the name change aims to signal a strategy shift by one of the U.S. government’s biggest providers of training and security services.

Mr. Wright said Academi will try to be more “boring.”

Founded by former Navy SEAL Erik Prince, the original Blackwater cultivated a special-operations mystique. But it was tarnished by a string of high-profile incidents, including a deadly 2007 shootout in Iraq that ultimately led to its reorganization and rebranding as Xe Services. Mr. Prince left the business in 2010, selling his stake to investor group USTC Holdings LLC.

Mr. Wright came on board this summer as part of a continuing corporate reorganization. In recent meetings with clients, he said he explained that the new corporate identity was supposed to stress the company’s focus on regulatory compliance and contract management, in addition to its track record of protecting clients. “I tell them, from now on, I’m going to be in the background; I’m going to be boring,” he said. “You’re not going to see me in headlines.”

But Mr. Wright may be courting controversy in one area. He said he would like to take Academi’s business back to Iraq, and has hired an outside company to help it apply for an operating license there. “I think eventually, we’re going to get a license; we’re going to do business in Iraq,” he said.

Just what we need in Iraq  – mercs who have a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and contract management. It really is sunset  on the West.

Some of you more conspiracy minded readers will want to take note of this change since you think they’re going to be used to herd us into FEMA camps. The rest of us can just shake our heads ruefully at what’s become of us.

Race Controversy Over Michigan Republican’s Superbowl Ad

US Senate candidate, Pete Hoekstra, is under fire for an ad that appeared during Superbowl Sunday.  His opponent is Democrat incumbent Debbie Stabenow, often criticized for her spend-it-all mentality.

Critics call the ad racist towards the Chinese as it features a supposed Chinese woman, though obviously an Asian American, against a stereotypical backdrop of a rice field using broken English.  She’s thanking Debbie Spenditnow (Stabenow – Spenditnow, get it?  yeah, I think it’s a reach too) for benefiting the Chinese economy by spending American money.

Is it racist?  I don’t know.  Personally, I think it’s in poor taste along with the tacky website replete with Chinese flags, red dragons and such.  Detroit black ministers are predictably crying racist being completely innocent of any sort of race baiting themselves.

Being a cynic, I think it’ll be just another season of idiotic attack ads.  But this tactic may work for Hoekstra.  Debbie Spenditnow is a phrase now embedded in Michigander’s minds.  Unfortunately, so is the image of another tacky while male Republican.

Soulless Egyptian Savages want to Ban Bikinis!

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Militant Islam is full of dress wearing savages who wouldn’t know red blooded manliness if it flew over their country in diamond encrusted gunships that ran on panda blood and cocaine. Now that they overthrew the “dictator” in Egypt who was giving them food and keeping the Israelis from carpet bombing them into the stone age these big bearded douchebags are really striking a blow for freedom by banning bikinis. Because, you know, hot chicks showing off their goods is some sort of problem for people who run around murdering innocent homosexuals who are minding their business.

Yeah, I get it. You don’t want to turn people “immoral” by exposing them to the horrors of beautiful, buxom women:

You can tap that down by raising several generations of people who have never seen a woman who isn’t dressed like Ninja who’s showing off the result of their Jenny Craig diet. Look how well that works in Afghanistan.

Savages:

Sunbathing in Alexandria may soon be a thing of the past, at least if some Egyptian Islamist politicians have their way.

Egypt’s tourism industry has suffered a severe blow since the outburst of anti-regime demonstrations in January. But that did not stop the Freedom and Justice Party, the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood, from demanding stricter regulations over what tourists can do and wear while visiting the country. The party is urging officials to ban skimpy swimwear and the consumption of alcohol on Egyptian streets.

“Beach tourism must take the values and norms of our society into account,” Muhammad Saad Al-Katatny, secretary-general of Freedom and Justice, told Egyptian tourism officials on Monday. “We must place regulations on tourists wishing to visit Egypt, which we will announce in advance.”

The call for new strictures on tourists comes as Egypt debates the role of Islam in the post-Mubarak era. Freedom and Justice is competing in elections scheduled for this autumn for parliament and opinion polls show a majority of Egyptians favor a greater use of Islamic law and mores. But a vocal minority worries that Egypt risks becoming an Islamic republic.

“This is how things began in Iran,” Hani Henry, a psychology professor at the American University in Cairo, told The Media Line. “The moderate youth wanted to implement changes, but the Mullah’s hijacked the revolution. The same thing is now happening here in Egypt with the Muslim Brotherhood. It makes me sick to my stomach.”

Me too. The bikini is the physical embodiment of the superiority of the Western Tradition (and our women) over Islamism. It is a symbol of our recognition that the human form, specifically the female form, is a perfect and wonderful conduit of divinity on earth. Denying this is to deny the perfect creation around you.

And what kind of supposedly heterosexual man wants to ban bikinis anyway? Maybe these Muslim extremists should spend less time murdering gays and trying to cover up women and more time examining why they are so interested in these two things. They should spend extra time in figuring out why seeing a little skin bothers them so much.

So you happy now liberals? The Arab Spring all you imagined? You lay down with savages you wake up with burkas.
