Ohio Democrat Poll Worker Attacks Man Who Catches Her Stealing Votes for Obama

And the man who blew the whistle on her ended up being suspended even though he was the victim of a violent assault. From Ohio.com:

Both Summit County poll workers involved in a physical altercation at a local nursing home over a ballot dispute have been placed on unpaid leave by the elections board.

But Republican poll worker George Manos, who filed a police report on the incident, claims he is the victim and shouldn’t be punished. He said he thinks it is retaliation for him speaking up.

”I guess what I should have done is not report it,” Manos, 75, said in a phone interview Tuesday.

The board and Cuyahoga Falls police are investigating the incident, which occurred about noon Friday at the Gardens of Western Reserve nursing home. Manos told police that Democratic poll worker Edith Walker jumped on his back and struck him in the head three or four times after he confronted her for allegedly mismarking a female resident’s ballot — showing her voting for Sen. Barack Obama, instead of Sen. John McCain.

The ballot scuffle has since gained national attention, including being discussed on Rush Limbaugh’s radio show and listed on the Drudge Report.

The board immediately placed Walker, 73, on leave without pay. Marijean Donofrio, the board’s Democratic director, decided to do the same for Manos on Tuesday morning, pending a decision by the board at a meeting next Tuesday. She said she consulted with John Manley with the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office,
who thought it was prudent for both employees to be on leave.

”It’s not a scare tactic,” Donofrio said. ”If one is not permitted to work, the other should be treated the same.”

How asinine. Why should a man who tried to defend a nursing home resident’s right to cast a vote the way she wants and then was assaulted for it be “treated the same” as a violent cretin who changed some poor womans vote to support her candidate?

Manos said the dispute happened when it was Walker’s turn to help a female resident with her ballot. He said Walker asked the woman who she wanted to vote for and the woman said McCain.

Manos said he got suspicious when Walker marked on the upper part of the ballot — where Obama’s name is listed — rather than on the bottom where McCain’s name appears. When Walker was finished with the woman’s ballot, he said he told her he wanted to see the ballot but she refused.

Manos said he grabbed the ballot and took it over to two other poll workers for them to inspect. He said the ballot was marked for Obama.

Manos said Walker jumped on his back, wrapping her legs around his legs. He said she put her left arm around his neck, while using her other hand to hit him on the head. He said the other poll workers pulled Walker off him.

Manos said Walker ran over, grabbed the ballot and ran back to her table. When Manos and the other poll workers looked at the ballot, he said both Obama and McCain were marked.

The voter was given a new ballot and able to indicate her presidential pick.

Manos, a former stockbroker who served in the military, said his neck has been sore since the incident and he might go to the doctor to be examined. He said he thinks Walker intentionally mismarked the ballot and tried to cover it up.

”It was obvious,” he said. ”She knew what she was doing.”

Yeah and so does the person who suspended Manos. The Democrats are stealing this election and we can’t sit by and let it happen. If Obama wins, we riot.

The Specter of an Obama Presidency is What’s Tanking the Markets

People are claiming it’s simply the sub prime mess that’s causing market instability but they ignore the fact that the more Obama is up in the polls, the more people are pulling their money out of the market he’ll attack with his socialist policies. I myself have been stocking up on long lasting foods, buying the things I need in advance and adding more firearms and ammunition to the house in preparation for Obama’s Venezuelization of America during his term if he wins.

Remember, he’s likely to have a filibuster proof congress made up of Marxists who have already been caught palling around with Narco-Terrorists F.A.R.C. and are responsible for the sub-prime crisis in the first place. “Assault” weapons bans, business slaying taxes and a militarized A.T.F. are just some of the things we can look forward to. Obama supporter Evo Morales shows us what the Messiah’s endgame for we on the right will really will look like, and it isn’t pretty.

I’m not alone in loading up, taking my money out of circulation and stocking up on the tangibles an Obamunist government will make scarce, and I’m also not the only person who thinks investing in a country that’s going to go socialist in January simply doesn’t make sense. The freeze-up of the financial system — and government’s seeming inability to thaw it out — are a main concern, no doubt. But more people are also starting to look across the valley, as they say, at what’s in store once this crisis passes.

And right now it looks like the U.S., which built the mightiest, most prosperous economy the world has ever known, is about to turn its back on the free-enterprise system that made it all possible.

It isn’t only that the most anti-capitalist politician ever nominated by a major party is favored to take the White House. It’s that he’ll also have a filibuster-proof Congress led by politicians who are almost as liberal.

Throw in a media establishment dedicated to the implementation of a liberal agenda, and the smothering of dissent wherever it arises, and it’s no wonder panic has set in.

What is that agenda? It starts with a tax system right out of Marx: A massive redistribution of income — from each according to his ability, to each according to his need — all in the name of “neighborliness,” “patriotism,” “fairness” and “justice.”

In other words, since the government is going to be anti-Capitalist why should we fully participate in a Capitalist system? If Obama wins I’m pulling my money out the bank and putting it in some safe places. If they want to tax interest from savings why save? If small businesses are going to pay more taxes on their profits why run a business? After all when I blow all my money on canned goods and shotgun shells they’ll be this entirely new generation of entitlements available which will allow me to subsist on the taxes on “the rich.”

In this environment only a fool is putting his money anywhere near where the government can get to it. Only a fool would trust that the Democrats won’t implement the Maoist social revolution that their base is clamoring for. The smart money is panicking because America was the last bastion of free enterprise and come January there will be no country on earth with a free market. That’s why our market is tanking:

The businesses that create jobs and generate wealth are already discounting the future based on what they know about Obama’s plans to raise income, capital gains, dividend and payroll taxes, and his various other economy-crippling policies. Which helps explain why world stock markets have been so topsy-turvy.

But don’t take our word for it. One hundred economists, five Nobel winners among them, have signed a letter noting just that:

“The prospect of such tax-rate increases in 2010 is already a drag on the economy,” they wrote, noting that the potential of higher taxes in the next year or two is reducing hiring and investment.

It was “misguided tax hikes and protectionism, enacted when the U.S. economy was weak in the early 1930s,” the economists remind us, that “greatly increased the severity of the Great Depression.”

Business is worried but the average person should be more worried. Stock up on the things that are constantly in short supply in Communist countries and buy high capacity magazines now. We’re in for a long 4-8 years and I doubt many of us will see the other side of it if the Obama cult has any say in it. Welcome to the the beginning New Dark Ages, by this time next year, if Obama wins, we’ll be a second world country.

So Socialism Doesn’t Work After All: Dow Below 9000, Hang Seng Down 8%, Asian Stocks Worst Week on Record

Bailout be damned the economic meltdown orchestrated by the Democrats and Soros continues.

The Dow celebrated the one-year anniversary of its all-time high by closing below the 9000 threshold for the first time since June 2003 and ending in the red for the seventh straight day.

The worst financial crisis since the Great Depression continues to engulf Wall Street, carving out 5,500 points from the index since last October, including 2,200 points over the past seven days alone.

The Dow Jones Industrial fell 678.91 points or 7.33%, to 8579.19, the broad S&P 500 dropped 75.02 points, or 7.62%, to 909.92 and the Nasdaq Composite lost 95.21 points, or 5.47%, to 1645.12. The consumer-friendly FOX 50 dropped 54.54 points, or 7.37%, to 685.16.

“Having an eight-handle on the Dow is a scary picture but it’s just representative of what we’ve seen over the last 10 trading days. It’s pretty scary business,” said Art Hogan, chief market strategist at Jefferies & Co. “It’s just unheard of. We’re getting to that point where it’s impossible not to think we’re hitting a bottom.”

Thursday’s plunge came despite an absence of any major negative developments. Instead, the markets focused on the continued uncertainty of the credit crisis and fears the global economy will slide into a recession.

As has been the case for much of the past week, the markets fell off a cliff at the end of the day, with the Dow tumbling 500 points in the final hour.

“I think we’re in the middle of what is panicked selling,” Scott Wren, senior equities strategist at Wachovia, told FOX Business. “I don’t know if we’re at the moment of maximum pessimism, but I think we’re pretty close.”

Democrat Sanctuary Cities Kill Black People

No surprise here for longtime Red Alerts readers since I’ve been blogging this story for some time. Armstrong Williams wrote this piece for The Washington Times that continues to shine a light on the ongoing genocide open border advocates are morally responsible for:

“BK.” The letters are an acronym for “Black Killer.” In Mr. Espinoza’s case, the “B” was crossed out. The crossed out “B” means that he has killed black people. For assassins like Mr. Espinoza, part of their gang initiation is to go out and randomly gun down someone who is black.

This and similar incidents should never happen, but obviously they do. Mr. Espinoza, who was also raised in the American juvenile system, should have been deported early on due to his run-ins with the law. Instead, he was allowed to seek refuge in a sanctuary ciity. In many ways, sanctuary cities are a threat to our national security. Illegal immigrants should not have a right to stay in America illegally. They should be fined, given a reasonable time to earn citizenship and monitored or deported. Many legal immigrants will tell you the same. After going through the hard work of earning their citizenship, they recoil at the notion of being associated with such activities. Indeed, legal immigrants consider the sanctuary-city phenomenon as a threat not only to their reputations, but also to their communities. They will tell you that illegal immigrants who commit crimes should not be given sanctuary; they should be jailed or deported.

Al-Qaeda Found in Brooklyn

Authorities busting a suspected ID thief in Brooklyn stumbled upon a possible terrorist nest full of al Qaeda news clippings, chemical manuals and weapons literature, sources told The Post yesterday.

Cops made the disturbing find Thursday evening after a landlord found the photocopied IDs inside the apartment of a former tenant on Classon Avenue in Prospect Heights and dialed 311.

The tenant, Hisham Khaleel, 35, had been evicted.

Responding officers found 13 copied licenses, all of which appeared to belong to customers from the Vanderbilt YMCA on East 47th Street in Manhattan, where Khaleel worked briefly as an unarmed security guard.

They also found news clippings about al Qaeda, literature on chemical purchasing and processing, an owner’s manual for a Beretta handgun, a reference guide for modern airplanes, a video on rifle-shooting fundamentals and a sniper’s manual.

Cops also uncovered lab glassware catalogs and a book, “Hostile Planet: The Essential Guide to Surviving Natural Disasters, Pandemics and Terrorist Attacks.”

Khaleel’s former co-worker Pierre Andre Leonard, 35, said the suspect worked for six months on the 3-11 p.m. shift.

“He didn’t hang with the crew,” he said, adding that Khaleel seemed to disappear one day.

I worked for the Greater New York Y.M.C.A. and I’m frankly not surprised they not only tolerated a radical Islamist as an employee at their swankiest facility, but that they allowed him access to the needed information they collect to forge documents

But Khaleel wasn’t just a secret Al-Qaeda operative, he was a “soft Jihadist’ who spent his time trying to intimidate people into thinking twice before firing Muslims:

According to federal court filings, Khaleel has been a frequent – if unsuccessful – litigant.

A 2005 lawsuit against the staffing company Metro One Loss Prevention Services alleged that he had been discriminated against on the basis of his Egyptian background when he was let go.

The suit was dismissed, as was a nearly identical claim against the US Postal Service, where Khaleel worked from 2001 to 2004.

He’s on the run now, but how much damage has he already caused? More importantly, how much will he cause in the future?
