Bomb Squad Detonates Suspicious Package in Denver, Terror Groups Converging?

Another report of possible terrorist activity during the DNC that seems to have gone unnoticed. This time what must have been a bomb was found and quietly disposed of by authorities:

A loud bang was heard along the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver this evening after police found and detonated a suspicious package near Union Station.

A spokesman for the Joint Information Center said there were no injuries. It was not immediately clear what the package contained before police used explosives to “render it safe,” in the spokesman’s words.

I’ve argued before that Denver authorities are trying hard to keep a lid on incidents to avoid embarrassment. Even Hillary-supporting die-hard Canonfire isn’t buying the authorities’ claim that White Supremacist tweakers caught planning to kill Obama was not a serious incident and certainly wasn’t terrorism. It seems that more and more non-terror related incidents that look like attempted terror attacks are taking place in Denver during the Democratic National Convention.

Lucky it’s all coincidence, huh?

Speaking of strange coincidences isn’t it odd that Alex Jones, who takes money from White Power organizations to advertise on his loathsome radio show, was in Denver just as some White Supremacists were planning on killing Obama?

Isn’t it odd that Alex Jones confronted Michelle Malkin with many of the same charges that Anisa Abd El Fattah, a black Muslim convert who has advocated an alliance with White Nationalists and even filed a complaint with the DOJ against the “Jewish lobby” on their behalf, made about Malkin in an editorial just days before the Jones incident?

Isn’t it odd that Saleman Abdirahman Dirie is being defended by an Islamic group with ties to Al-Qaeda? It should be noted Al-Qeada has reached out to White Supremacist organizations before:

Al Qaeda, she said, has shifted its mission, even aligning itself with neo-Nazis and white supremacists who are sympathetic to its new focus of fighting a “new world order.”

“We know that Al Qaeda is very, very good at finding people who have the right passport and speak the right language” to facilitate a terrorist attack, she said. “They are finding new allies and new sources of recruits.”

“New World Order.” Where have I heard that before?

And what’s odder is that the the convergence on Denver of this colorful cast of characters with recognizable ties to each other, all intent it seems on causing mayhem, is being swept under the rug by anxious authorities more interested in laying a heavy hand on reporters than ensuring the public is informed of the potential for catastrophe? It almost like the authorities don’t want the public to contemplate the possibility of Dirie, the tweakers and the more fringe visitors to the city being part of an ad hoc hit team sent to cause strife by killing some politicians.

I’ve blogged about the alliance between Islamists, White Supremacists and Communists before and with these incidents the danger of such disparate violent groups coming together becomes all the more obvious.

Who left this “suspicious device” in Denver and was it a bomb? It looks like we’ll never know for sure if the Denver cops have anything to say about it, but I’m willing to bet it was either a neo-Nazi or Islamist looking to cause chaos during the DNC convention.

I.C.E. Raid Actually Lowers Unemployment in Laurel, Mississippi

It also netted dozens of fraudulent I.D’s, many of which were cobbled together through identity theft:

I guess there are plenty of Americans that are willing to do those jobs Americans just won’t do. Unsaid in the report but patently obvious is the fact that illegal immigration is marginalizing Black Americans in ways it doesn’t for White Americans, no doubt the reason many liberals think criticism of open borders policy is racist. Ted Hayes and his Crispus Attucks Brigade have been on the forefront of the battle to make people realize this simple truth.

There’s an article in the Hattiesburg American that quotes several residents who were locked out of jobs by the plant’s preference to hire slave wage earning illegals:

Shantay Holles, 26, of Heidelberg said she used to work at Howard Industries as an electric tester but was fired last year. She said she is applying today because she heard on the news about the ICE raid.

“That’s all they would hire – Mexican, Mexican, Mexican!” Holles said.

Samantha Stevens, 18, a 2008 graduate of Heidelberg High School, said she couldn’t find a job and she is glad the ICE stepped in.

“We were here first. It’s not fair for them to have a job,” Stevens said.

Will Obama be standing up for Black folks once he accepts the nomination and will have the power to make this a real issue? Don’t count it says a new Republican PAC ad.

h/t Immigration Watchdog who have been strangely silent on their hero Alex Jones and his attempt to incite a riot to murder Michelle Malkin.

Denver: City of Lies

Hosting the Democratic National Convention puts pressure on any city to ensure that there are no major incidents to mar event. I believe the pressure may be too much for authorities in Denver as their explanations of several recent incidents not only seem overly convenient but rely on the most childlike credulousness on the part of Americans watching the news.

The first of course was the contention of officials that Saleman Abdirahman Dirie, the Somali immigrant to Canada found dead with a pound of cyanide in an expensive hotel room, committed suicide. Today news came out that even Dirie’s family, who have no motive to keep their relative’s name in the news, are disputing the suicide thesis:

OTTAWA – A spokesman for the family of the Ottawa man who died of cyanide poisoning in a Denver hotel room is disputing autopsy findings that the man committed suicide.

“We believe the ruling (is) absolutely nonsensical,” said Omar Jamal, executive director of the U.S.-based Somali Justice Advocacy Center.

Saleman Abdirahman Dirie, 29, was found dead in room 408 of the Burnsley Hotel on Aug. 11 near a jar of sodium cyanide, the crystallized form of the fast-acting poison.

[…]

Denver police have since rejected any suggestions Dirie’s death is terrorism-related, calling it an isolated incident. It remains unclear where Dirie obtained the chemical, how much he ingested and how much he possessed.

“We’re done with the investigation now that we’ve got the coroner’s results,” said Det. Sharon Hahn.

But Jamal said his organization is filing a complaint with the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners on behalf of Dirie’s family, and he is looking into ways to appeal the coroner’s findings.

“We feel that there is insufficient evidence to arrive at the conclusion that he was suicidal,” Jamal said.

He said neither the autopsy report nor the police’s investigation explains why Dirie traveled to Denver in the first place.

“If the intention of Mr. Dirie was to commit suicide, he could have done it in Canada,” he said, adding that there are several other questions that remain unanswered, including what the hotel’s surveillance cameras show, whether Dirie had any visitors, whether he had any luggage, where he obtained the cyanide and how he paid for the room.

Indeed. Hotel surveillance cameras have yet to be mentioned by authorities and no one has talked about how he afforded the room in the first place. Denver authorities expect us to believe that a person traveled from Ottowa to Denver to kill themselves? That he somehow purchased a pound of cyanide just to drink a cupful? It strains believability.

Then of course we get the good news that the white powder filled envelope sent to Denver’s McCain headquarters was sent by inmate Marc Harold Ramsey who is described as a prolific writer of threatening letters:

Within hours of the 3 p.m. scare at the Centennial campaign office of Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain of Arizona, authorities announced that the powder was phony and that the writer appeared to be Marc Harold Ramsey.

The 39-year-old has been in jail since September, unable to post the $350,000 bond on charges of felony charges of menacing, harassment and assault on a peace officer, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.

“He is a prolific writer of threatening letters,” said U.S. Secret Service Agent Malcolm Wiley.

The inmate’s words led at least five McCain staffers in Centennial to rush themselves to the hospital.

Twelve others were evaluated after their office near South Peoria Street and East Arapahoe Road was swarmed and quarantined by local, state and federal authorities.

[…]

Minutes after news of the scare in Centennial spread, a McCain campaign worker in Manchester, N.H., noticed an envelope addressed to McCain, handwritten with a return address of Denver.

The office was evacuated, but the letter was later found to have no powder or threat.

The Manchester letter appeared to be unrelated to the Colorado case, investigators in New Hampshire said.

That was mighty fast police work for people who can’t explain why a Somali turned up in their city to poison himself. Thank goodness a man in jail for writing threatening letters signed the letters with his name and that it was mere coincidence that a letter from Denver arrived in New Hampshire the same day.

I don’t know what Ramsey’s story is, but if he’s in jail for writing threatening letters how did he get a letter mailed to McCain’s office containing an unidentified, yet harmless, white powder? Where I’m from people’s letters are checked in the joint before they go out, especially if they have a history of threatening people. But everything is O.K. man, it’s all under control.

And about all those news reports of the homeless being hidden by authorities for the convention? That’s a myth, baby. Denver wouldn’t do something like that would it?

Update: It’s being reported that Ramsey is a “terrorist sympathizer” but he is a Muslim convert who goes by the name Akeem Ramsel El. Here’s a copy of the letter he sent to McCain courtesy of Denver’s ABC 7:

Senator McCain,

IF you are reading this then you are already Dead!
Unless of course you can’t or don’t breathe.
There are numerous substances which are deadly for humans to inhale.
There are just as many time periods for signs of illness to show, by which time it’s to late.
Who expects to develop cancer 40 years after Vietnam?
Only those that knew the risk and side effects of Agent Orange.
DoD, DOW, Diamond Shamrock, U.S. Surgeon General
You’re out of time.
Allahu Akbar

Akeem Ramsel El

Religion of peace indeed. I’m still curious as to why this person was allowed to send a letter to McCain’s office at all? Severe negligence on the prison systems part or something else?

Denver McCain Campaign Office Receives Envelope With White Powder and Threat

And so it begins…

John McCain’s Denver campaign office received an envelope containing white powder and a threatening note Thursday afternoon.

Spokesman Jeff Sadosky told FOX News the office has been evacuated and the campaign notified federal and local law enforcement, who are taking all precautions.

The letter was opened at about 5 p.m. ET.

Have there been any other stories coming out of Denver featuring a white powder recently? You bet. But don’t worry, the case of the Somali Muslim found dead with a pound of cyanide was declared not to be terror related.

Maybe some Obama supporters were working for change the old lefty way. You know, the way William Ayers would have done it?

Of course the Recreate ’68 forces are probably already in Denver in full force so let’s not rule out a stunt by some of the young “revolutionaries” who are even now loading their pockets with illicit jars of urine and feces to “Smash Capitalism” with.

Drunkablog has more on the Recreate ’68 participants, lest you think I’m unfairly smearing a peaceful protest. Even the Colorado Green Party tried to get thier spokeswierdo Cynthia McKinney to pull out of her appearance at the event, fearful of the backlash against them when people see exactly what these collection of misfits is all about. Here’s a sample list of some of their speakers taken form one of their own press releases:

Ida Audeh – Palestinian Refugee

Kathleen Cleaver – Black Panthers

Ward Churchill – Long-time Author, Activist, and Scholar

Mark Cohen – Re-create 68 Alliance

Chairman Fred Hampton Jr. – Prisoners of Conscience Committee

Larry Hales – World Worker’s Party and Re-create 68 Alliance

Larry Holmes – Troops Out Now Coalition

Ron Kovic – anti-war activist, veteran and author of Born On The Fourth of July

Cynthia Mckinney – Green Party United States Presidential Candidate

Black Panthers? Palestinians? World Worker’s Party? They would never send threats/hazardous materials to a Republican, right?

A Holmesian mystery indeed.

DNC: Eric Cantor a Jewy Jew

Hot Air is all over this DNC sponsored anti-Republican site’s hit piece on Eric Cantor that manages to find not one but five different quotes from the media which include name the man as a Jew. Some of the quotes were borderline anti-Semitic when they were written like this one supposedly form a New Orleans paper:

According to the Times Picayune, Rep. Eric Cantor was “the marquee guest” at the event which sought to raise money from the Jewish community. Both Abramoff and Cantor are Jewish.

Strung together with several other quotes revolving around Cantor’s “Jewiness” and we’re left with the bare bones “New Left” which when stripped away of its polite pretensions is as hateful as the Bolsheviks or the National Socialists.

The Democrat base has been becoming more anti-Semitic for years, so much so that now it’s second nature for their activists to put forward ideas which would seem more at home on the forums of a White Supremacist organization than on a website promoting “Hope” for America.
